Me and my friend were talking about this when we saw Cube's pushing weight on vintage vibe last night.

Dude is a legend a pioneer but in are opinion dosent get the credit he deserves. Not nly a pioner in the rpa game but also in the movie game. How many rappers were acting before him??

As far as the rap game we could kinda compare Nwa to the beatles in terms of brining a genre of music to a new level yet with all he's accomplished Cube is not realy talked about outside the West. When people talk of hip hop legends they talk more of Dre, Jigga, Snoop even scarface has more collabo's on the eastcoast then Cube does.

Yeah I agree... about the hip hop legens thing , it can be explained by the fact Snoop , Jay and them are more than rappers .. they are "public" characters, they're always in the news and let's be honest , there are more talks about "them" than their music itself (anyways Snoop and Jay music sucks for some time now). AND they had some pop hits lately whereas Cube didn't have one for a damn while .. ask the average rap fan or a girl to name a Cube recent song or album , you won't probably get an answer .. that's why he ain't got the respect he deserves on a mainstream level but at the end of the day Ice Cube catalog is still better and he hasn't done songs with Beyonce, JT, Rihanna , Pussycats or such "no talent" artists ... about Dre , it's obvious when you produced songs for worldwide pop icons as Snoop, Em, 50 , MJ Blige and others you're gonna have credit

Exactly. Cube's been strictly west coast and doesn't sell out like other rappers. He's been pretty consistent throughout the years in the rap game AND in films.

But if you brake it down, Ice cube was in the first gansgta rap grup was the first rapper to cross over to film shit dude should get a lot more credit then he does.

but he got punked by laods of west caost folks for going to NYC for production in the early 90s also he braught it on his self by doing kids movies

There's a lot of truth to the claim that Cube doesn't get the cred he deserves.

He's been in the game longer than a lot of cats (only one even close to him in longevity is LL). As someone said above, he's got an aweosme catalog, without doing songs with the "flavor of the week" girls...

Me personally, i would've loved to hear a circa 1989 Dr. Dre produced Ice Cube album...
