somebody on here said it was gonna premier yesturday but i guess it didnt.  Hopefully its out by the end of this week.

I presume something must have come up since they haven't dropped the video yet. So far, B.Y.I. had always stuck with their release dates (mixtapes, announcements, etc...), so I'm pretty sure there's a good reason why they haven't released it yet.
It'll drop soon though normally...I'll keep you guys posted.

Not to be disrespectful or anything, but what exactly is the fuzz around Omar Cruz about? I've heard a few tracks by this guy, but I can't say he moves me. Hang With My Doggz is an ok track, but nothing I (would) play regularly.

man i remember the first time i heard of him when he was blunts lla and they posted a couple tracks on here from his first mixtape and i thought he was gonna be the biggest rapper on the west cus those tracks were sick!!!

And then he just kept releasing a couple more dope mixtapes and a street album and ive been following him since.  Maybe its cus im brown that im jus wanting a new latin rapper, but i always thought he was sick.

That vatos locos song was dope, so was that Cops Gang Bang song, so was that Threw the eyes on a Wolf track. 
And these are just off the top of my head.  Hes got alot of dope tracks.

I think this song Hang wit my Doggs is dope too.  Always liked it.

Well, I guess you could say he's just another up-and-coming rapper from Los Angeles. However, there are some things that make him stand out from other rappers, in my opinion:

- he's one of the few West Coast artists who's signed to a major (Interscope/Geffen)
- his music has a unique (latin) sound
- he's got a clear vision as far as his music is concerned (just check the Dubcnn interview to see an example), which I find important

I understand your question though. I just hope that you (and lots of other people) take some time out to check out his music. And on that note, here's something that I posted in a different Omar Cruz thread:

But Cruz has dropped enough material (most of it for free, need I remind you) to let people into his music, so they can get to know what he sounds like, what he raps about. In his interviews he also comes across as an eloquent guy, someone who clearly has a vision for his music. Which is not something you can say about, for example, cholo rappers.

So yeah...what it all boils down to, is: at least take some time out to give Omar Cruz a shot. If you're still not feeling him after a few songs/mixtapes, well hey...no problem, at least you tried. But don't just sleep on up-and-coming rappers who are working their ass off to try to take this West Coast rap thing to another level. If we, the fans don't even support average/good/dope West Coast rappers, then there's no way in hell that the West Coast will ever be on top again in terms of popularity.
