lol damn i learned myself recently on my bmw...its hard at first and I still fuck up sometimes...the hard part in the begining is moving from neutral to first, gotta develop a feel for the clutch. just remember to give more gas then letting out the clutch makes it easier the first time. other hard shit is starting on hills and SMOOTH downshifits and traffic

youl get the hang of it, practice is key

there are schools that teach it, but no friends that drive stick? why u wanna learn?

Here are instructions how to use manual gear:
http://www.whtc.com/Shared/Auto/tutorials/learnstick.html

It ain't that difficult.

Driving stick just takes practice, but like you said you don't have anybody to show you. First time I drove stick was my friend's car, an early 80's BMW because he was drunk, and that was definitely an experience. After driving stick like 5 times, you will probably have it down to where you won't look like a jackass and stall it, so you only need a couple times to practice. Good luck

LOL

it looks like we all learned on a BMW

dude its REALLLY easy.

its not even learning really, its just practice

I imagine you may be decent already since you already ride a bike.

I got a homie with a WRX and its a short shift so once you learn how, you will have to majorly adjust.

with that said, I think you should buy the car first and just learn it on the car you prolly wont do major damage to the car cuz you already know the basics of clutching PLUS you aren't a chick.

best bet tho is to find someone, you gotta know ONE person that drives stick.
