I really liked this movie... I think you would enjoy it more if you saw it (how it was meant to be seen) in a theatre because it really is a masterpiece of cinema... I'm probably gonna peep it again in a few weeks.

^Yeah it's a pretty good quality Rip, IMO. Not dark at all. Very audible. Doesn't skip or anything. I'd have to look through my laptop and see what site I was able to get it from. I kept getting bunk copies that didn't even work. Just kept trying.

I have a gift certificate to the movies, I might use it to go and watch this in the theatre.

I haven't had a chance to finish the movie yet, I'll re-watch tonight though...

Just saw this, I thought it was pretty good, great performance by the kid, I thought he was amazing. Great performances all around. Good cinematography, Good score, and a very well adapted screenplay.

Ending was vicious, I was HOPING it would end right there and it DID, I was so happy with the ending.

I haven't seen this yet, but I saw a preview tonight that said "Performance of the Century".


See, that's the kind of shit that makes me not want to see it.  How could it possibly be the performance of the "century" ?  Is that just a cute way of saying it's the best performance of the 2000's?  If he's saying it's the best performance of the past 100 years, then he's including EVERY MOVIE EVER MADE which I have to throw up a big bullshit flag on. 

Also, as a republican, there's a small part of me that says "I just KNOW this is going to be some bullshit about how evil Exxon is".

Finally got around to finishing it... Kinda didn't have the same feeling as watching it all at once... I'll have to dedicate some time to watch this shit after I get married. Too much shit going on to focus.

I have his performance in my personal top ten of all time, but I also don't know what that reviewer meant when he said best of the century.  Overall, it's just a story about a man's life.  There is nothing "preachy" about it.  It's not a movie that states oil and religion is bad.  It's just a story about these two specific people.  That's it.

were in the 21st century, so he is saying it was one of the best performances since 2000...i dunno if it was THE best, but certainly UP there...

you should watch it...its a great movie.  theyre not preaching anything about oil..its a story of a man who is in the oil business, its about his greed, the greed of others, religion, family values, just a great film.
