I wonder if Nate was diabetic?  My uncle was diabetic and pretty much completely ignored it.  He had a stroke as well.  His was severe, didn't have movement on one side of his body, had to have a wheelchair, and his personality was completely gone.  Died about 2 years later and was only about 52 years old.

yeah, I hope he he gets well soon. All my best wishes go out to Nate and his familiy. My grandma had a stroke too and was paralyzed on the right side and wasn't able to speak correctly. Ok, she was in her 70's tho but something like this is fucked up anyway.
