Nets considering trading Carter for to the Pacers for Jermaine O'neal?

According to a report in The Record, the New Jersey Nets have discussed a potential deal with the Indiana Pacers which involves two All-Stars.

The Nets would acquire All-Star power forward Jermaine O'Neal, but it would cost them their own All-Star in high flyer Vince Carter.

There were recent whispers about Carter being offered for Knick forward Zach Randolph, although there was conflicting reports about who made the offer.

The new proposal would send Carter, Marcus Williams, and Jamaal Magloire to Indiana for O'Neal. But O'Neal has a bone bruise in his knee that will sideline him at least two weeks.

Wow Vince Carter AND Marcus Williams for Jermaine O'neal? Indiana must really think dude is Duncan or Garnett.

Overrated player for a more overrated player and a potentially high ceiling young pg. Can't say that its horrible for either team, however I would say that Indy would probably be the winner of that one.They ship out their malcontent and bring in a guy who studied under Jason Kidd for a year and a half and a legit star in Carter. Not bad.

Nice win for the Pacers today, looks like JO might be done for the rest of the year though.  Obviousley this is horrible but he needs to to sit out until he gets to 100% again no matter how long that takes.

And even though the last few years JO has been a better player than Carter because of his current injurys I would be lying if I said I wouldnt consider this trade.

Butler is good as hell, I saw him owning against Dallas yesterday. Lakers really suck for giving him up so cheaply.
