I hope I meet him one day. I want to know does he purposely exploits the stupidity of post adolescent dufuses. I mean he can't really still be 19-21 years old in his 30+ year old mind. I mean if that is really what he's doing then I'll have a whole new respect for his art. Like, I'll put it up there with the great poets of all time.

stfu already

No. I was being serious. I really would come to appreciate Nas's later work and have a new found respect for it if it was revealed to be satire.

No he was being serious too. Stfu.

No what? He told me to shut the fuck up. I said No.

What are you saying no to?
You was being serious. He was being serious too. I said no about your opinion, Nas' got mad talent and you sound like you hating on him acting as if he needs to grow up. (19-21 year old mind?  And he's only like 30+? Nas' isn't too old to be putting the pen to the paper...)

If 19-21 year olds were the only hip hop heads with the right mind, hip hop would be very VERY small and limited culture. The best people in the game are always the more experianced ones. The ones who've been here and there, know what and what not to do. New kids on the block need to take notes. Nas' is a veteran when it comes to lyrical skill.

Soulja boy can eat a dick. (No homo)

Generally I've found that 19-21 year olds in the western world any go through threir socialist phase. Some never grow out of it and always think Che Guevara and his fellow murderers are the coolest thing on earth but most do. That whiny shit in the song Poison is very common of the fuck the system post teens. They over simplify the worlds problems into black and white issues and blindly pass the blame up the ladder. Nas isn't saying anything about schools or society or whatever in that song. Just some shit about injecting infants at the hospital POISON! If he was going somewhere with his claims and really identifying problems I'd credit that, but he's not. There are black writers on the TV show The Wire that do a very good job of exploring the world we live in. Nas's songs are like one big stupid Al Sharpton speech. He's not really saying anything. Just pretending to. Chuck D has really been saying something for decadess and I've always creditted him for it.

This has nothing to do with his musical talent or ability to write rhymes. And nothing to do with the state of hip hop and who it spreads to. I never said Nas was too old to be rapping. I just think he's too old to be rapping like a 20 year old. But maybe he's just rapping to them. Like how the writers of Barney the Dinosaur are smarter than what they write.

How does a 20 year old rap?  How does a 30 year old rap?

Who else is doing joints like "Unauthorized Biography of Rakim", bustin out James Brown breaks (LOL @ thinking the average 20 year old gets that, then again maybe you don't get it either).  Who's doing joints w/ Doug E Fresh, Candyman, Rob Base, Fu Schnickens, MC Shan, Sir Mixalot, Ice T, EST from 3x Dope, Monie Love, fuck I could keep going.  Yeah, he's clearly pandering to 20 year olds.  He's reaching out to generations BEFORE he was around and making music with them.  Your claims are baseless.

I have the feeling that you're one of those cats that hates on Nas cuz he's always referring to himself as God's son, calling himself Christ, etc.  I know you're all hyped with your religion and shit and there's other cats on this board that are the same way.  Maybe you guys can form a support group.

Not how a 20 year old raps. How a 20 year old thinks. I made that very clear. I didn't mention religion once. Hell I'm even a big fan of the Temptation of Christ book (not the movie though). Shit Rakim outright calls himself God and you don't see me taking him to task like I do Nas. Why? Because Rakim doesn't make stupid claims about the world like Nas does.

What does Nas reaching out to hip hop history have to do with his theories on world politics being juvenile? If anything it could be an argument in my favour. He wins over the stupid post ads and then spreads the history of the genre to them. James Brown has been sampled and sampled again by a plethora of rap artists. He's one of the most sampled.
