Artest to opt out of contract
« on: January 22, 2008, 01:45:22 PM »
this is hardly newsworthy but this quote is fuckin hillarious.

Ron Artest said for the first time Saturday that he would likely exercise the early termination option in his contract as expected.
"Winning is more important," he said. "I'm not thinking about money in my situation. I'm just thinking about winning. I need a ring, or I'll be sick. Whatever I get, I'll get.

"I'll give my dogs and my kids the money, and I don't have to spend nothing. I don't need nothing. If I have my ring, I'll be OK. I can live in the streets hungry." -- Sacramento Bee

LMAO... if it was about ANY other person (excluding Marbury), I'd be 100% sure that it was made up by some internet dude.

This is so great. I hope dude gets traded now. Thomas can probably convince him that the Knicks are going to win a ring with him and give him a contract extension. This would be great. I really want him off the Kings cause he's ruining my fantasy team by ruining the great Salmons.

You gota love Ronnie.  He is a great player no question about that.  I remember when he was 24 years old and ballin with Indy the year we went 61-21 he said if we won it all he would retire cause thats all he ever wanted LOL and you know what I bet he would of.  Dude might be crazy at times but he is a real dude and always speaks what he feels, gota love that.

Well the reason for him always speaking "the real" strongly connects with the fact that he is mentally ill.
