oscar snub? 300

visually i think 300 should have gotten something for "art direction" " costume design" " cinematography" or " visual effects" . because VISUALLLY 300 was the best picture along with transformers

Biggest snub imo is American Gangster not being nominated for best picture and Denzel for best actor..

I disagree.  The only real shot it had was in the Visual Effects category, but hard to put 300 over Pirates, Golden Compass, and Transformers.

they fucked up with that movie, they gave his mom a best suporting actress nom ( i don't even remember her having THAT big of a role to be honest with you) but i thought they'd at least nom denzell or russell crowe

transformers belongs there, pirates belongs there, but the golden compass....i'd put 300 over it

I don't know, but it seems that the visual effects in The Golden Compass look more complex and detailed than what 300 had to do.  Spiderman 3 also could have been there.

i guess 300 did get nominated for some new category , best fight sequence or somethin'


300 as a story I THINK, could have been told better. it was too much of a "man" movie. It was one of those movies that marines and dudes that use to be in the marines watch to add to their overlly high testosterone levels, but visually i think that 300 was an awesome movie it deserved at least an art direction nod in my opinon.

"300" blows.  It's neo-con pro-war propaganda, it's historically inaccurate (as in, it doesn't properly portray the Spartans' involvement in the evils of fagdom), and it's completely dumb in every other way.  Only stupid people could possibly like it.  Anyone who thinks it's good should read this:
