Bishop Lamont teams up with DJ Rampage for the mixtape that started it all, "Who I Gotta Kill To Get A Record Deal", the tape that got Dr. Dre to pay attention and end up signing Bishop Lamont to his prestigious label Aftermath Records.

Diocese and TakeOff Productions have teamed up again to re-release the infamous mixtape, which is hosted and mixed by DJ Rampage.

the last time he talked about this project was 2 years ago, so i guess he cancelled it, or used the material for another mixtape/streetalbum.

Here goes my theory of what I think happened with this January 31st surprise:

People affiliated with Bishop Lamont saw the thread on this forum where people guessed what the surprise would be. They had already forgotten about the promise (I forgot about it too) and decided to pull something off real quick... maybe they could re-issue the Who I Gotta Kill To Get A Record Deal mixtape that was originally up for download on indastreets.net (yes, I know my history). So someone went to DatPiff.com (in the id3 tags of this 'reissue' it says "Downloaded from DatPiff.com"), downloaded the mixtape, zipped it, uploaded it and e-mailed a link to a couple of different sites.

That being said I think the real surprise is coming soon, but this might be a good moment for me to check out this mixtape. I've had it for a while now, but never really paid much attention to it.
