Dubcnn had the great opportunity to sit down with the Bay Area rapper who's one step away from shaking up the industry, Clyde Carson. Of course we dicussed his highly anticipated debut solo album "Theatre Music" and Clyde gives us the real reason why it got pushed back so often. He also speaks on his deal with Blackwallstreet/Capitol, his universal sound and the reception in other regions, his influences and his fans, and much more.

As mentioned in the interview, Clyde is about to drop his next single from "Theatre Music" called "Cali State of Mind" featuring The Game with production by Ty Fyffe. Snippets were leaked here and there, and it's getting great feedback so far. An official music video will be shot soon. "Theatre Music" is scheduled to come out in May. Show some love and pick a copy when it drops!

Imagine if they didnt do a video for How we do and Released that in 2004 as a street single and Did A Video For West Side story, did a hella edit to it and released it in 2005...

Thats Why Dre's albums sell, becoz he has the right strategy and its not even magic.....

Now i can tell u whats gonna happen, Calis state of mind wont do shit on the charts, becoz it sounds noting like HIT, Clyde will do 50 000 first week and After that Capitol wont put a dollar into promotion of the second single and all the other Potentially Good Songs and singles will not be seen in RAp Game, and Clyde will stay at 80 000 sold...IS that what he wants?


Look at Buck, he had hella singles, he chose the wrong one, Flopped first few weeks and Interscope said "FUCK THAT" to promoting....

Rappers need impressive First week sales to get their label to promote other singles, like Game, if he didnt sell 500 000 in 2 weeks, there would be no Lets Ride video, no Wouldnt get Far video..

Why is everybody so stupid in this industry? I bet it was Games idea, he said some shit like "Yo clyde, Lets Get these streets to feel out Raw BWS sound, lets make them haters know that we are reall Hip hop, instead of Doing Records like DOing that, we gonna talk about Chronic and Bitchz and spit on some Raw ass annoying ass beat with "old school Vynil Scratches samples"...
