Original for me, but i treat them as different songs and listen to them on different occasions.  i like how they did a video to both to reflect that.

The Remix without a doubt! I love this beat and Roger plays a bigger part!

I bought my CD the day it came out and was dissapointed cause the Remix was on it and not the OG. I know some of the CDs have the OG on it but I always preferred that one but kind of got used to the Remix because it was on the album and I like the Gfunk vibe that Dre gave it.

i prefer the original; the remix is not bad, but i guess i was so used to hearing the original that when i first heard the remix i was a bit disappointed.
the remix is slower, and more smooth.
dre should have kept the vibe of the original track when making the remix imo. Can't C Me matches more with California love OG, than the California love remix, when it comes to the vibe.

yeah does anybody know why Death row put the remix on the album in stead of the original? usually remixes are only on the cd single

As much as I love the remix, I like the OG better.

LOL I remember that indeed, with Death Row you never know but it could have been a marketing ploy to add the OG to b-side of How Do You Want it so they could get more sales I think the maxis cost around 5 or 6 dollars in '96

Does anybody know the name of the unreleased song they play at the end of the California Love (Original) video?  It starts at the end of the song, during the dream/nightmare sequence that shows 2Pac imagining the whole thing

They play it at the beginning of the video during the 'Can U Dig It' intro for some reason on this youtube link, and they play it at around the 6:40 mark.  I remember when I first saw the video back when it premiered hearing that beat at the end of the video, it sounded so dope and I was disappointed when I heard All Eyez On Me and that song wasn't on either disc.

As far as we know it's just an unreleased Dr. Dre beat. Nobody really knows if there was a song made to it or not. But ya, that beat is fuckin fire. That shit could get released today and be a hit.

Did the How Do You Want It single come out before the California Love single?  That one had both the OG and Remix as well as the Instrumentals for both.  The How Do You Want It single has the "Long Radio Edit" on it.  Is that version different than the ones on California Love?  (I only have the CL single.)
