man i heard some songs off the firm album: why did this shit flop? all the dre tracks were tight except for firm family but that was made up for by the canibus song where canibus ripped the damn mic. i've heard: all the dre tracks and desperadoes, and except for firm family which has a brace yourself: whack dre beat...besides that those tracks are tight.what happened? peace-Tanjint

Yea, it shouldn't have... I love phone tap ... I do have the album and it rotates still , but the main reason for the flop in my opinions is cause everyone was expecting gangsta shit ... instead they got a different style

it wasnt pushed right.....and there were toooo many producers for that album......or too many record labels....

look at the back and check how many labels were trying to get credit......they probably couldnt agree on how to market the CD

most people who bought it were just nas fans and they were just dissapointed at the way his career was going.....

I didn't think the album was that good. I expected it to be better. Thats how it was disappointing.
