Now_I_Know about Eazy E
« on: May 22, 2001, 05:28:11 PM »
Ok, no insult to your age, but your like 14 trying to talk about Eazy E. I know about Eazy E, I was reading everything about the man while he was still alive, and after his death. Now I guess your getting into rap, and figure that your all caught up, you know as much, but just trust me on this, well Eazy E didn't write all his lyrics, he did write some. Now it's true, before they left, Ice Cube and D.O.C. wrote all af Eazy's lyrics, with M.C. Ren, but afterwards, Eazy wrote some of his own, starting with Real Muthaphukkin G'z. Hell, every diss to Dre was writing by him. Also on the side, Still A Nigga, Gimmie That Nutt and It's On from It's On () 187um Killa and basically half the songs on Str8 Fff Tha Streetz Of Muthaphukkin Compton.I ain't trying to put you down or anything, just tripping how you are sure of something even thought your new to rap.

yeah eazy wrote some shit but not alot. i don't look at it as he was a great rapper because he could/couldn't write lyrics, i looked at it as no matter what he spit you just couldn't wait for the next line, you know.

Alright man, but still, you were not into rap when Eazy was alive, as for me, my first album was Eazy Does It. And Eazy did order muthaphukkaz around when it came to others writng his shit, it wasn't like he just blindly say what onther wrote.

Anyways, homie, just remember that dispite the fact you've listen to rap for 5 years, yet your only 14, some muthaphukkaz still know a thang or two. After all, I love Motown, and I love old school love songs. But when an older man me about them muthaohukkaz, I take that shit in, because until you listen to an artist when his shit was hot and new, you truly can't appreciate the music, and get into it as much as if you were there at the time. So it's cool your into rap and shit, but stick to what you know.

Age doesn't matter

True

unless you listen to an artist when his shit was hot and new, you truly can't appreciate the music

Sort of, you can't appreciate the social effects it had unless you were there.

Safe

for real... everyone says fuck/bitch/nigga this/nigga that all the time now.

but back then.. eazy & nwa were the only ones that were in the public eye doing it.

part of the appeal at such a young age was the language in it

Fo sure

This is not on the same subject as being there at the time but one of the reasons why Doggystyle will (probably) be my favourite album till I die was because it was my first album and I was like
Whoa
when I heard the swearing!
That won't happen again to me now

I've heard swearing since I was little. When Eazy Does It came out, I just played the radio side out load so my dad wouldn't take it away. But when the parents weren't home, the other side was played. HAHAHA!!! Now I can play what ever I want.

No offense homie, but it's funny how you are telling me all this about Eazy E when you can't even spell the name of his album ("Eazy-Duz-It")...I'm not being mean and shit, but I basically grew on Eazy E...I know he wrote one or two tracks, but he CAN'T be considered a Lyricist/MC...Peace

Okay, this guy starts dissing me because he thinks he is the greatest, and tells me how much more he knows about Eazy than I do, yet he never met me, and hasn't read a 50th of my posts...What am I supposed to do?? let him think he's all hard, and above everyone who is younger than him?
