Am i The Only One That Thinks DPG's DOGG FOOD is overated?

i really think it's highly overated peopel callin it a classic and shit and i disagree definitely an album worth purchasing(no doubt) but to regard it as a classic i don't see how some of the beat i did not like and lyrics(kurupt killed almost every track) were not all that(daz's side) im not saying i don't liek it but to call it a classic i disagree

man this is my favorite album of ALL TIME! is it overrated, well if you comare it to "The Chronic" and "Doggystyle" its definitely not as good. Its definitely a WEST COAST CLASSIC but overrall classic is debatable, its not a 5/5 album but Kurupt's performance on this album and the production for the most part is good although not classic remember Dre did not have a big part in this. I think you have to be a big Kurupt fan to really appreciate how he murdered every track on this album.

I live in NY even though I prefer West Coast music I also enjoy east coast rap, alot of Mobb Deep's albums are EAST COAST classics but in reality they only have about maybe 1 or 2 overall classics, Capone N Noreaga's first album is not a classic but an EAST COAST classic kind of in the same frame as DOGG FOOD

Nah The Infamous was better than Dogg Food. But Dogg Food overall is probably better than Hell on Earth. I think some of the production was a bit weak as well, compared to Chronic and Doggystyle. SHame Dre didnt produce a couple tracks for it but its def a west coast classic.

Many albums are more costal classics than hip hop classics when you think about it. I'd put Dogg Food in the same band as Eazy Duz It, Ironman, Hell on Earth, 6 Feet Deep etc
