DPG album debuts at #124
« on: May 22, 2001, 06:15:38 PM »
This shit ain't that surprising cause you couldn't find it at most stores, I got mine from CDNOW and all those sales don't show up on the soundscan charts.

i can't believe it's in the top 10,000. if it wasn't for the internet they probably wouldn't of sold nuttin. i can't get the cd cause it's nowhere to be seen. does anyone know how many copies it sold in the first week. it couldn't of been more than 5,000.

124 is REAL good for an independent album with bad distribution

lot of people aint knowing but any time an indie record even gets in the charts it is a success.

and anyone who doesnt have it try cdnow, i got mine within a week.

I can't think of any reason why cdnow.com sales wouldn't show up on soundscan.  But when you have an independent release come in at 124, your coming away with alot of dough.  Dogg Pound charted better than Doggy's Angels and Death Row Uncut, and the album didn't even make it to most stores.

Damn...that's really good!!! They made more dough off of this than they would've made with Doggystyle Records NO DOUBT!!! Because they didn't have to pay all the record Executives and all that, they got most of the money from every CD, where if they were on Doggystyle they would only get aboua buck a CD...
