Does anyone still enjoy getting a new CD?

Am i the only one who still likes to wait for a CD to be released and in my hands before I hear any of it?
Personally, if its an artist that i like, i never bother getting clips or promos on the internet, just because it takes away from that first listen when u got it.
for example the new DPG album. i didnt get the promo, the bootleg version, or the official rip. no mp3s, no real audio (i saw the coastin video, thats it). Now when i got the real cd, i was happy as fuck, i played it str8 thru, all new to my ears, and while doing so i enjoyed the booklet and reading the album credits etc. i was very pleased with it.
now is it just me, or does nobody else like that feeling anymore? just getting a new cd and bangin it on your stereo, in your car, or on your headphones. Or does everyone have to download everything, or hear a gang of promo clips now?
maybe im just old fashioned haha.
whut you think folks?

I Listen To The Singles
Like For Instance, On The DPG Album, "Coastin' Was The Single, And As You Know, They Release That a Few Weeks Before The Album, Because They WANT People to hear It, To Build Anticipation. If It's Already Been Released To The Radio, And MTV, I Say, Shit, Bump It! A Single's Almost A Freebie, You Know? You're Supposed To Listen To It Before The Album Drops.
I'll Download The Singles, Or A Lot Of Times, If It's A Track Off A Soundtrack, I'll Download It, Because I'm Not Gonna Buy The Soundtrack, Even If The Song Wasn't Available Anywhere, I'm not gonna Buy The Cd For The 1 Song, So The Artist Ain't Losin' My Money, They Wouldn't Get It Anyways.
I'll Download Rare Shit, Or Live Shit, Because It'll Never Get Released...
But As Far As Advance Copies Of Albums, I Don't Agree With It.. We Stopped Using MP3'z On WCKillaz Because Of That, And From Time To Time, We Do Real Audio Album Previews, But I Do'nt Even Listen To Them... I Just Wait And Get The Album...
When 2001 Dropped On The Net, I Had Listened To "Forgot About Dre", "Still Dre" (The Single)... And What's The Difference. The Watcher, And Xxxplosive Dropped, But I Wouldn't Listen To Them, I Didn't Wanna Ruin It... Then The Rest Of The Album Dropped, And I Didn't Wanna Listen To It, So At 12:00am The Day It Dropped, Me And My Boy Rolled In His '64 To Pick It Up...LOL Just For Old Times Sake....

well with napster going down i am going to have to get back into the rotation of buying lots of cds again. the thing is, i always baught the cds of the artists that i liked most but the rest of the time i would dl it and burn the shit cause i would rather not waste 20 bones on that shit you know. but for now i'm a buy dpg, d12, kurupt, and i still can't figure out if i should buy that new 2pac cd. the 2nd cd of the double is shitty in my opinion. i can't wait for that new dogg poung shit from death row soon to be released, i'm a copp that shit foe sho.

Me, I hate ruining it before the album comes out. I like it to be a surprise, so the song(s) won't get played out for me. Sometimes if the single is out waay before the album I'll give it one listen...then wait for the album.

nope.. if i buy a cd it gets ripped and travels on my DAP (aka Nomad) anyways.. coz i listen to music on that all day @ work and its light to carry.
so downloading it first makes my life easier coz i dont have to rip it.. coz of the limited space if an album is wack.. i archive it onto a cd-r.. and its pretty much gone for good.. if i like the album i buy it

I download promo's or songs from a new cd. I like going into the record store and getting that first listen. If I find that there are some tracks that don't make the album that I really want to hear, I cop them. I cop rare, live, unreleased shit though.

I haven't downloaded any whole cd except for eastsidaz causr i didnt know if it would be good, but now that i heard it im gonna buy it. I have been buying a lot of cd's lately. I think its dick to just download them. I didnt download DPG cause I wanted to wait for the real cd and i ordered it and it still hasen't come. Its such bad luck, now i can't even download it if i wanted to cause napster isn't working.

Aiight I'mma probably sound like a faggot for sayin this.
When I go and pick up a brand spankin new album it is one of the best feelings. Especially a album you have been waiting for 4 months. I always get pissed off whenever the plastic wrap is on the CD case and I can take it off. Then you open it up and I get this rush. The suspense grows even more when I see the CD and I want to hear it really bad. As soon as I pop in the disc I start reading the credits and bouncin my head to the beat. Its the best thing.
Okay the gay shit is over LOL
I never listen to songs before it comes out on a album. Only singles. Maybe I will listen to another track to satisfy my appetite.

i'll get tracks if i know that it's gonna take forever for the damn cd to come out, or if i know it's not gonna come out at all.....like the bad azz personal business bootleg, cuban link bootleg, jadakiss, TQ, and sticky fingaz all have different tracks than the released ones, so i'll get those. but yeah, i love listening to a new cd.

Never Ever do I download tracks!...I only get shit that I know wont be released like "Personal Business (Bootleg Version)" or "Dre Dre Unreleased CD"...I just buy albums, and if I know I wont buy it, I borrow it from my friends and burn it (That rarely happens)...
