i'm just curious how you'll feel if Obama wins the presidency...
i'm not sure what you think of him, or what you think he represents, or what you think he'll do for race relations in America...i'm really just curious as to how black power people perceive him and his politics...

- i do agree with you, though, that the position of whites and blacks will not change UNTIL there are more black people than white people (purely numerical) in this country. it seems that no matter what country you're in (except Africa), majority almost ALWAYS rules.

see i don't think that's true at all...have you ever been outside of this country? in jamaica, blacks rule because they're the majority. in PR, puerto ricans rule cuz they're the majority. in asia, asians rule. it seems in whatever country you're in, the majority is always the ruling party (except africa). they lookin out for the best interest of those that are in the majority...in american and in europe, americans and europeans rule.
blacks get the short end of the stick in this country because they have one of the lowest populations here. i bet that hmong people get treated even worse than blacks do. 
i think latinos are gaining more respect in this country because their population is expanding at a much higher rate than (white) americans. in california and texas, latinos now represent the majority, with whites then blacks as close second and third. and that's why you see changes there...and more racial equality as well. i'm convinced that this is a purely numbers issue, i'm convinced.
the only anomaly to this rule is africa, and i think that has more to do with the (lack of) natural resources and the extremely high population (in relation to resources)
