i like the wu but no group in rap history except PE and Run DMC will ever live up to the NWA legacy

no one single group has been as influencial straight up, they're so influential that their legacy can be felt in Rock music now tell me one other group that can say that? naw

i repeat i like the wu tang clan but you can't deny that they are slowly becoming worse with every album solo/group

36 chambers-classic
tang forever-good album
the w- hardly good (i've tried to let this album grow on me and listened to it a grip but the cold hard fact is it sux)

i reapeat again i like wu tang, but you can't forget the whack sophmore albums

meth
tical-dope as fuck
judgment day-whack as fuck cept 3 nice trax

ODB
return to the 36-very very dope
nigga please- nigga  please is right

GZA
Liquid swords-classic/near classic
beneath the surface-lyrics were ok, but where was the production?
(i won't even mention his pre wu-album which got 1 mic at allmusic.com)

Raekwon
cuban linx-best wu album to dat
Ja rules album was better than "imorbilarity"

capadonna
the pilige-tight album bumped it for a year straight
ying yang-it was ok only listened to it for about 2 weeks

ugod
he's one of my favorite killa beez but his album was gayer than richard simons and elton john between the sheets

inspectah deck has a tight album
called "uncontrolled substance" i don't know how his follow up is turning out though

RZA's "bobby digital" album was gayer than the ugod cd, nice production though

ghost face is the only one not to surcome to the sophmore slump

i ain't bagging on wu tang at all like i said before i like the wu tang clan alot but please don't say they're up there with NWA....true NWA's former member have had their fall off points too but at their peaks have been waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more influencial than the clan, dre's production will forever be the best around Cube set new standards for MC's, MC Ren is Known as one of the hardest core mc's ever and Eazy E is one of the first major superstars of rap

it's like saying Karl Malone is a better ball player than Michael Jordan...

i'd have to say that alot of groups want to be like NWA they were the first hardcore gangsters and know we have CASH MONEY and BLING BLING ... ;D... which try to be gangsters as well... but there bitchs just like p-daddy.... NWA was the greatest ... if Eazy won't of pasted away they would of still been kicken a$$...... ;)

Concerning the WU, All of the solo albums before Wu-Tang Forever are considered classics.  So Is their first and second albums.  The only solo album since then to even come close to reaching the 5 mic, all out classic status was GHostface's Superme Clintele.  I thought it was a classic eastcoast album myself.  Now when talking of NWA, I've seen a lot of groups that have reminded me of them from time to time.  The SCC, CMW, and most recently, but really nowhere near as good, Ja Rule and The Murderers.  Not the sound, but the mentality.

i think its wrong to say that none of the wu solo albums have been as good as the ones before wu tang forever....

for instance

killa bees is better than tical
its also better than diry's first album
and the first killarmy album is better than tical too.....

immortability is not as good as cuban kinks thats for sure but it isnt wack....neither is bobby digital (infact, bobby digital is probably in the top 3 east coast albums production wise to drop since enter the wu tang)

and i feel what your saying about wu not appealing to west coast heads but i still maintain my view that 'The W' is a dope ass lp.

i just cant see how anyone can say Tical is a classic and The W is bad....i mean, compare the two!

here are my top wu albums in order (wu members only, includes compilations)

1. only built... - Raekwon
2. Enter the Wu Tang (36 Chambers)
3. Ironman - Ghost
4. Liquid Swords - GZA
5. Killa Beez
6. Supreme Clientele - Ghost
7. Killa Beez
8. The W
9. Tical - Method Man
10. Bobby Digital in Stereo - RZA
11. Wu Tang Forever
12. Return to the 36 chambers - ODB
13. Wu Chronicles
14. Beneith the Surface - GZA
15. Golden Arms Redemption - U GOd
16. Immortability - Raekwon
17. The Pillage - Cappadonna
18. Uncontrolled Substance - Inspektah Deck
19. tical 2000 - Method Man
20. Nigga Please -ODB
21. The Yin and The Yang - Cappadonna
