DAMN IT'S GOOD TO HAVE QUIK WORKING WITH SNOOP AGAIN!!!!

Even if he only did 1 track, his mixing along with Teddy Riley's were top notch on this.

I agree. This album is...I really don't know the word to describe it. I'm diggin the fuck out of it. So much flavor on every track! "Those Gurlz" and "Press Play" are in heavy rotation.

I agree D. "Don't Tell" is a classic with both Quik & Snoop together & it was a shame they didn't do much after that until now. And Ego Trippin' is off the chain. "Press Play", "SD Is Out", "Sets Up", "Gangsta Like Me", "Neva Have 2 Worry", & "One Chance (Make It Good)" are dope as FUCK. I feel overall it's better than Blue Carpet Treatment in terms of how the album came about and the consistency of good tracks on it. On BCT I tended to skip tracks while on Ego Trippin I only skip "Why Did You Leave Me" & "Been Around the World". They're not horrible, I just don't dig 'em right now.

If they ever do another 213 album (Get well Nate) DJ Quik at the very least should mix the album. Quik is on par with Dre on mixing. I don't dig every track on Ego Trippin, but again this shit is crisp and has thumping bass in a system.

Yeah, that would be cool if 213 can get in the studio again. I think there's a remix floating around of Nate Dogg's "There She Goes" with all of 213 & Quik on it. I'm not sure if it was an original Snoop verse but I think that was the closest we could get to 213 & Quik together.

Quik is a dope mixer too. I like how he mixes his music, it sounds more clear & has a good mix of bass & treble compared to Dre's, which usually has more bass to it.

Don't Tell that Quik did on Topp Dogg is one of the best 213 songs of all time.

I agree.

I feel that that's one of Quik's best beats he's done in his career. It's smooth as hell, everyone on there (Mausberg, G Dub, Nate & Snoop) killed it. You can't go wrong with that. 8)

Yeh Quik did a very nice job, i probably would've like maybe a couple of more Quik produced tracks, but everythin he did on the album is still good enough.

I'd love an album mixed by Quik n Dre.

There she goes is a dope track. I disagree about Quik vs Dre on the mix. I think Quik recently got his game together as far as mixing is concerned. A properly mixed album should sound good on all types of systems. I'm pretty sure Quik mixed the songs he produced on Top Dogg. A few of those were suspect (Bussin' Rocks?).
At the same time, I get the feelin' Dre re-cut alot of the stuff he mixed for other producers (when shit wasn't tight), but hands down he's the shit at mixing. He mixed some Nine Inch Nails tracks, and the NIN guy Trent Reznor is an awesome producer AND mixer. I'm sure Dre gets paid big $$$$$$$$ just to mix shit. By the sound of it, Quik is coming up fast, just from listening to his work on Ego Trippin'.

It's definitely good to see Snoop and Quik working together. There is one thing I don't really understand though and maybe someone could explain it to me:
When you look at the credits of each song you only see Quik's name a few times, but when you read a little bit more you read that the cd is mixed by DJ Quik.
