2 complaints about the DPG record
« on: May 10, 2001, 11:30:56 PM »
1. Daz and Kurupt, especially Daz have beat the "Fuck a Bitch" subject to death.

2. Daz's production sounds more like Beats By the Pound everyday.

Dogg Food will always be one of my favorite albums.  But Raw, Long Beach to Fillmore, and this record aren't doing it for me.  If you disagree with me that's cool, cause I'm still a fan.

I dont agree with that at all! Two Weeks?!?!
That's like sayin "If you watch that show THE VIEW enough times... those old ladies start to look pretty good"
Point is.... when you hear a dope cd you recognize it right away...... you shouldn't have to learn to like shit...
And.. iz it tha same thing for wack cd's? Do you buy the LiL Romeo cd, listen to it for two weeks then decide that it's bullshit?..... Cuz i knew it was bullshit as soon as I saw the video (LoL)
If you like tha cd then more power to you.. everyone gotz their own style....I haven't even heard the new DPG album.... like infinite though.... I wasn't feelin RAW or Long Beach To Filmore... and I have a feelin this new DPG cd is gonna sound more like RAW and L.B to Fillmore than Dogg Food.

Criminal...word!!!!  The album isn't anything like Dogg Food in my opinion.  Dogg Food is a classic.  Times have changed.  The album is somewhere in between Long Beach and Fillmore and RAW.  But again, all ya'll that love the album, maybe your seeing something in it that I'm not, it's all good, I hope the record is successful.

Dre mixed most the tracks on Dogg Food.  And Snoop was all over that album.  Take those two out of the equation and thangs just ain't the same.

RAW was bullshit.  But that is because it was rushed and it was all leftover tracks from deathrow.  Daz didn't put that much effort in it.  and the two jt albums wern't produced by him.  But this CD is toughh!! I like it better then Dogg Food.  All the beats are tight.

I AGree With The Fuck A Bitch Stuff... The Only Song Anything Like That I've Liked In The Past 2 Years Was "Pump Yo Brakes!"...

Kurupt REALLY Overdoes That Part, I Think... He Ruined Xxxplosive With That...

Anyways, This Cd Isn't AS Good As Doggfood, For The Same Reason 2001 Isn't As Good As The Chronic, Times Have Changed.  It's New Stuff... Maybe In 5-10 Years, We'll Be Able To Compare Them.  Plus, I'm Still Convinced Dre Had Something To Do With Dogg Food.

I'm convinced Dre ghoste-produced at least half the tracks for 'Dogg Food' to make up for not crediting Daz for "Doggsytyle" or some shit like that...I'm not saying it's to good to be Daz, I'm saying some of the beats sound like Dre beats...Listen to "Lets Play house" and tell me it doesnt sound like a Dre beat....Daz is more Gangstaish, and Dre is more Funkish...Half tha beats on "Dogg Food" sounded Funky to me...the new DPG is nutthin as near funky as "Dogg Food" but still really tight and almost as good...
