More Info on "The Wash"

Here is some more info on the movie that Dre and Snoop are working on.

Dre, Dogg Go for The Wash

Dynamic rap duo Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are cleaning up their act. Known for their dirty lyrics — and in Snoop's case, dirty videos — the two will executive-produce and co-star in a feature film called The Wash, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Lions Gate Film — to be written and directed by 3 Strikes director DJ Pooh — is slated to begin production on Monday and is being targeted for a winter release, according to the paper.

The movie is set at a busy car wash, where Dre and Snoop are co-workers, who also share an apartment, in an Odd Couple-style mismatch.

"The Wash is a hilarious script, and DJ Pooh knows how to work this kind of comedy better than anyone," Lions Gate President Michael Paseornek told the Reporter. "This is a dream project that will appeal to a very wide audience."

Dre and Snoop will also team up on the movie's soundtrack, which will be a joint effort between the two rappers' labels, Aftermath and Doggie Style.

Both actors have appeared in a variety of film projects, but for both of them this is the first time top-lining a major feature. The two also recently wrapped filming smaller roles in Training Day, a movie due later this year starring Denzel Washington. - Wall of Sound

Hey Jake, Actually, It's Like This...

Pooh CoWrote Friday, And Wrote 3 Strikes...
Cube CoWrote Friday, And Wrote Next Friday...

Pooh Didn't Have Any Part Of Next Friday, Except He Invented Some Of The Characters That Were Also In The First, Cube, John Witherspoon, Etc....

If YouLook At It,Both Movies That Cube Had A Part In Rocked, Whereas Next Friday Wasn't Anywhere Near As Good, So I Think Pooh Was Responsible For All The Cool Stuff In Friday...

Of Course, Cube Wrote The Playas Club, And That Movie Was Decen,t So I Dunno...

It's harder to make a sequel better then a original movie that is a "classic" regardless if pooh wrote it or not. The thing that pretty much messed up the movie from the start was the fact that chris tucker wasn't in next friday.

Its gonna be a classic for sure. As long as they got a strong plot and storyline in the movie it should be tight. And then Pooh and Dre (don't forget he did 'Murder') is working on the production and Snoop can be hella funny. We got the makings of a great movie.

Hell nah, Chris Tucker is tight. I can't wait for Rush Hour 2. The first one was too damn funny. I'm still laughing at Jackie Chan "Wa-sup my nigga?"

Bdogg, did you realize that Chris Tucker turned down Ice Cubes ofer to be on "Next friday" because he doesn't want to portray that stereotype. Something happened to him. He doesnt want to be funny anymore. He wants to be Bruce Lee or some shit. That guy became retarded. Does he not realize that "Friday" is what made him? I seriously think he became white or something. Ice Cube asked him to be on "Next Friday" and he turned it down for a dumb reason. Ice Cube only talked to him on the phone for like 2 mins and hung up. I seriously think Chris Tucker is white.

Just because he turned down a offer he is tryin to be white? He is just being picky now that he has had his big break. Sure Friday had alot to do with Tucker's success but it was Def Comedy Jam that got him that movie role. So thats what really made him. I don't see how preference in roles makes you change your race. Maybe Cube wasn't offering him the pay he wanted. Their could be many factors involved.
