I'm probably one of the few people in the world to own the Sons of Funk album. I'm not proud of that, I'm just putting it out there.

"Pushin Inside Of You" was one of my favorite songs from the I'm Bout It movie and soundtrack.

Great interview, this brought back alot of fond memories.  Although, they got their years mixed up a little bit.  P had already blown up with "Make Them Say UHHH" before they released the "I Got The Hook Up" track and video.

But I have a lot of respect for P, especially after reading this article.  It sounds like he really cared about his artists, and tried to give them ownership of something so that they could biuld something for themselves and not just be dependant on a label.
