Can some of you please put me up on this dude? I've known his name for years, but I've never taken the time to check his music. I dunno, I've listened to just about any 'contemporary' of his, but I've never really heard dude. Anyhow, what are his best album(s)? What's worth checking out? Thanks.

Some of his best work imo are New Jim Jones, Raven In My Eyes, Hells Kitchen.

He has a lot of dope shit, kinda hit or miss for most people

I know there's been a few topics on him, he has been putting good music out for a while. His early 90's stuff had a real mob-type sound, with albums "I Hate You With A Passion" and "These R The Tales" when he was called Dre Dog. He moved on a little bit through the late 90's and really earned his reputation. He has updated the sound a little bit, but hasn't gone the hyphy route. He has done 3 albums with Equipto called "Horns and Halos", which I haven't got into much. I like the chemistry him and Equipto have together, but not for a whole album. His biggest "hits" would be "Ayo For Yayo", "The Ave", "Smoke Dope & Rap", "Andre & Andre", "The Jungle", "Fears of a Coke Lord". Definitely check out a few tracks to determine what you are feeling, and then proceed to listen to a whole album based on the tracks you like.
I got a bird's eye view

Nicky is dope,  I Hate You With A Passion is his best album imo.

I put a bunch of his stuff in this thread a while back,http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?topic=170703.

King Nicky has got hella loot. He's doing shows all through his year, not counting all the CDs and DVD he's releasing...  and if you check his website or myspece page, you'll see that the guy has even got an escort/strippers service going on.

It's safe to say he's one of the most successful rappers from the bay. He's original, always doing his thing only, and has a loyal following.
