Rapper the Game has set a June 24 release date for what he claims may be his final album. Dubbed "Los Angeles Times," the Geffen set is "highly controversial," according to the artist, who was recently released from jail on a firearm charge.

"I'm addressing real issues that other artists might be scared to talk about on record; issues that need to be heard," the Game says, without elaborating.

The album's first single, "Big Dreams," was produced by Cool and Dre and recently went to radio. Dr. Dre is expected to be involved on the production side, but there has been no official confirmation just yet as to his role.

"Los Angeles Times" is the follow-up to 2006's "Doctor's Advocate," which has sold 966,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

hopefully Dre can do a beat or 2 but Game showed that he didnt really need him on DA so it doesnt really matter
