It's kind of funny I saw the title of Jayo Felony's new album is "Still Trued Up" and I was just thinking it kind of seems silly when these gangsta rappers present this lifestyle on record that they live young, fast, and hard; and everything else, and then... 10 years later they still try to come out with records acting like they are still as "bad" as they were in 1993..  See the Dogg Pound for the best example of this.

Anyway, Tray Dee was the only rapper I felt really came off authentic in his role as an O.G. and it didn't matter that the dude was nearly 40 talking about bangin, because he brought that old mature gangsta style that was all his own.

Yeah, he was a true gangbanger (that's what i've heard), alot of the Dogg Pound wasn't. But there was a couple other members too that was real bangers. As a rapper Tray Deee was great, i ain't never really heard a wack verse from him. One of my favourite rappers of all times.

Yeah I never heard a Tray Deee verse that I thought was ehh or weak. And he really brought it lyrically on the Eastsidaz albums.

yessir a real OG and a very underrated lyricist as well. Probably the only active gangbanger I heard who could actually spit

He had a dope verse on that "Lay Low" song produced by Dre. Master P had a pretty surprisingly decent verse....

That cover for "The General's List" was a little odd.

Thats because he was actually good. The rest of these guys peaked a long time ago and won't hang it up even tho they're not making any money off rap anymore.
