I didn't know you were this into ball, homie... Good shit.

But seriously, Celtics are a great regular season success. We know what often happens, thought with those great regular season success teams. Until they prove me wrong and prove that they can win in the playoffs, I still say Detroit>Celtics...PeACe

You always say that man.. act like your surprised when I talke about ball.  I play regularly and when I work at the hospital its always at night and all the patients are asleep so I catch the big games and highlights.  I saw the Celts play the Rockets, Celts vs. Suns, and Celts vs. Mavs this month....
so I have been doin my homework.

Mark my words homie... they are takin it this year.... my team is the Suns.... and I love the Western confrence, so I was real dissapointed when the Celts walked all over the confrence in March.

Your team is the Suns? Why?...And what do I always say? Trust me, man. Celtics are not a hard team to expose. saying Big Baby and Rondo are playing like all-stars is also an extreme exaggeration. We will have to wait and see, though

-the Suns cause Stoudamires a Muslim, Nash is a whiteboy, and Barbosa is fast, and I Kansas City doesn't have a team so I got into the Suns when they picked up Nash.  They were the most exciting team.

-you always say that your surprised when I talk about ball.

And Rondo and BigBaby have  been playing at a high level lately.  They don't make mistakes and mix well with the main 3.  It's not like the 06 Lakers where Bryant and Odom were good and everyone else looked out of place.
The celtics don't lose a step with their role and bench players.

-I feel ya, but the Suns almost started a trend which woulda' been the death of basketball (high scoring and no defense with little-to-no offensive sets)

-Damn...my bad. Maybe it's because you rarely come into this section.

-Rondo and Big Baby D are good for some youngsters, don't get me wrong. But to say they're performing like all-stars is a stretch. I don't think anyone is out of place on the Celtics, but the team IS lacking depth...Rondo is too young and inexperienced to be a starting point guard on a championship squad, while Cassell is too old. Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Keving Garnett are great players, but none of them have any real experience in big games...they're also on their last legs. Lets not forget, Kendrick Perkins is far from a starting caliber center. The playoffs will be a big test for the Celtics. Remember, the Mavs looked untouchable in the regular season last year, but were easily exposed when the playoffs rolled along. I'd fear the same if I were a Celtic fan...PeACe

I hope your right...

...btw... Garnett has played in big games, I think he's  been deep in the playoffs before... and Pierce went to a championship once didn't he?  back when they had walker?

Pierce has never been to the finals and neither has Garnett...they've both been to the conference finals once, but they both lost. If they can pull it off this season, I'll be surprised, to say the least.

I hate the Celtics with a passion but they have a great team .. their defense is impressive ... Boston will go the East finals with ease .. I still think Detroit has a chance , especially due to the fact they're the underdogs and they love to prove people wrong .. it's still 60-40% Boston in this matchup though .

the celtics bench is great too

powe, cassell, posey, house, big baby

adding Sam I Am was a great move  8)

Word, and people were saying that our bench was crap going into the season. Not the case. Our starters tend to dominate so the bench gets lots of playing time to develop, too.

I was listening to Colin Cowherd's ESPN radio show online and he was talking basketball for the first hour of the show. Anyone else listen in? Jon Barry was saying that every team in the West has some flaw, and that the Celtics and Pistons may have the best shot to take the championship despite being in the weaker conference. I'd have to agree... sure there are a lot of good teams and individual players in the West, but no team looks significantly better than the rest.

Jalen Rose also came on the show and said Chris Paul was the MVP. A good choice, but I can't credit Garnett enough for the culture change that occurred when he came to Boston.

Yeah, I still say (like Ive been sayin all year) that Detroit will go to the finals for the East.

By the way, we lost to the C's..but I dont recall us getting "dominated" lol. We were crushing them in that game and they made a great comeback.

lol how is that not valid? They have a better record and have been consistenly one of top teams in the West All year. Its not like theres a clearcut, head and shoulders above the rest, team in the West. Im sure Hornets fans would think youre retarded for saying the Lakers are better then them.

The Lakers at FULL STRENGTH are easily better than the Hornets...we beat them by 30 without Gasol. Do you really think the Hornets stand a chance in a 7 game series vs the Lakers? LOL

yes.

I know how delusional you can be about your team man. But who exactly do you think the Lakers are? lolol. There is no ONE dominant team in the West right now. My team is the defending champs and have been in first place far and away more then any other team in the West this year and still only in second place now, and still not the "clear cut favorite" to win the West. The Hornets are in first, and are still not the "clear cut favorite" to win the West. You guys are what, in third. And not the "clear cut favorite" to win the West. You guys have a shot at it. But so do about 7 other teams right now. So to think its ridiculous that any of those teams could knock off any of the other playoff teams is just plain stupid man.

No, but it definitely shows that we are the dominant team at full strength..
