Who is the best football(soccer) manager available?
« on: April 01, 2008, 06:34:54 PM »
Mexico recently let go of that idiot  Hugo Sanchez, and they are willing to spend anywhere from 10m and up per year.  According to many rumors, they have offered Mourinho the job.  IMO, that would be great but I highly doubt he would be willing to come to Mexico even with the amount of money they can throw at him.

Basically, who's the best out there?  And what other potential candidates are out there after this season and the EuroCup?  I'm specifically talking about Europe, since I'm well rounded in the Latin American side of things.

The best managers I think are the ones who have done a good job for little money. Jose at Porto I'd say was a dope manager but I honestly think any manager could of gone to Chelsea and spent what he spent and done a very very good job. I think the likes of Moyes, Steve Bruce, Paul Jewell are good managers. They took crappy clubs and turned them into good hard working Premiership teams. Just a shame only one of the clubs realized what they have.

id agree with moyes, im not sure about bruce and jewell.

I think managing a with little money is completly different to one with lots of money, there are different expectations and responsibilities.

Managing barcelona and dealing with huge player egos, even bigger expectations from fans is completly different from managing wigan.

A manager who has done both successfully is a great manager, but i see what bez is saying steve coppell is another one who has done really well.
