FUcking fascinating movie.De Niro's debut as a director is one great piece of work if you ask me.Great story about a young boy growing up and learning about life from 2 "father" figures.Watched this for the 2nd time last night and It reminded me how amazed I was the first time I saw it

gotta say that the soundtrack is really good too

Good call.... excellent movie.

My favorite part is when little C is shooting craps and they keep throwing all of the unlucky dudes in to the bathroom...

I love this movie.  Elements of the movie remind me of NY when I was a kid.  Before Guiliani came in and killed the character of the city and Bloomberg doing everything to out price native new yorkers and push them out in exchange for yuppies

One of DeNiro's best. "Now's you can't leave". Great scene. I Got the soundtrack too. Great stuff. Did y'all know it was based on a play written by Chazz Palminteri.

Yeah, Chazz is the fucking man... Should be getting more starring roles for sure, cause he's one of the prime method actors still working...

Well, he's been in 40 movies since The Bronx tale, I'd say he's doing good..

Another interesting trivia:

Lillo Brancato (playing 'old' Calogero 'C' Anello) is on trial for armed robbery which led to a police man's death..

Quote
In December 2005, he was arrested and hospitalized after he and a friend, Steven Armento, were shot by an off-duty police officer Daniel Enchautegui while the officer was investigating a burglary in New York City. The officer was killed, and Brancato and Armento face murder charges.

I only remember seeing him in Usual Suspects (amazing role), Hurley Burley (great role), Night At The Roxbury (funny as fuck) & Running Scared (great once again)... and judging by his IMDB-list, the rest isn't excactly a-list material.
