Slept on East Coast club tracks
« on: April 05, 2008, 12:37:42 AM »
What are some East Coast club tracks that didn't get too big, even if they were from major artists? They may or may not have been singles...but they just didn't get major TV or radio spins

I'd say.....

LL Cool J ft. G-Unit - Freeze (Remix) [a.k.a. Bump this]
Busta Rhymes - Turn it up
Joe Budden - Focus
Jae Millz - My swag
Young Gunz - Friday night (gets hella Foot Action love LOL)
J.R. Writer - Get em
Juelz Santana - Freaky
Murda Mook ft. Remy Ma - Chrome to ya dome
Busta Rhymes - I'm just getting warmed up
Busta Rhymes ft. Swizz Beatz - Watch ya mouth
Omilio Sparks - DJ Turn it up
Gillie da kid - Get down on the ground

It wasn't at the "In the club" level, but I think it was pretty big, especially for the East Coast at the time. LMAO @ Eminem rapin that beat though.

I have heard that song in plenty of clubs out here in Vegas. If it makes the girls shake they ass it's all good to me.  ;D

LOL...a lot of East Coast tracks aren't really dance-able this decade..most of them are pretty laid back. This song here was more of a club warm up type song than a true club banger like that. To be real, as a DJ, I realize that even "In da club" wasn't the most dance-able beaet...but the shit pounded so tough and was catchy as hell that it blew up major. However...there are MANY songs, older and newer than that, that get played a LOT more than that track.
