Why Eve Beats are so recycled
« on: April 18, 2001, 09:20:08 PM »
It's very obvious that bothe the Eve beats are recycled from precious Dre beats...

1."Let Me Blow Ya Mind" recycled from "The Message

2.and "That's What It Is" recycled from "The watcher"

I think that Dre didn't record these beats for Eve...He already has millions of beats that were never released waiting to be used...What I think is that he has a shitload of beats in his studio, and Eve hit him up for some beats, so he gave her the beats that weren't gonna be placed on any of his up and coming Aftermath artists, because he doesn't want his beats to sound the same on his lable, he wants new shit that we never heard..So he decided to give Eve the beats that he was sure that he wouldn't be using for the albums on Aftermath, so he gave her these two beats...That's why I think that these tracks are so recycled, and I think it will be the same with all the other artists that aren't on his lable that he uses beats for....He  will just give thems the ones he knows he wont be using, so he doesn't let them use the tightest beats...Also i dont even think he ever bothers making beats for other rappers, because he already has many in store....This is the reason the only classic or original Beats by Dre are only on his lable....

Do you guys think the same?

Not Recycled, Similar,

Dre uses a similar style for thats what it is to the watcher, he doesnt "recycle" it, It sounds similar because he uses the pizzcato string sounding instrument that was used in the watcher but as you can clearly hear, uses a piano with low octave keys similar to "No Diggity" and a bunch of other beats,

as for let me blow your mind, dre didnt produce the message, it was the only one on his album he didn't, I could be wrong, but check the credentials, and plus it doesnt really sound like it anyway,

Plus, if you remember EVE was an Aftermath Artist and is on a Mel-man Produced track on the Bulworth Soundtrack under Aftermath, Dre released her cause he wasnt doin nothin with her, so they probably knew eachother from there

Nah, I Don't Agree.

John Lennon Once Said "There's Only 7 Notes!", Meaning That All Songs Sound Derivitive Of Each Other... If You Look Hard, You Can Find Similar Structures In A Ton Of Dre Songs, But That's Where It Ends!

Plus, The Beat, Lyrics, And Flow Are All Just PARTS Of A Song... You Can Take The Same Exact Beat, And Make 2 Different Songs, Like "The Way I Be Pimpin'", And "Xxxplosive", And Have Them Sound Totally Different.

So, My Point Is, Even If The Beats Are Similar, The Songs Are Totally Different, So Who Cares?  I Personally Don't Even See A Similarity, It's Just That The Instruments Are The Same.

Another Point Is That Remember Again That Dre Is A Producer Who Works With The Artists And Their Flow And Lyrics And Style To Best Fit A Song, So It's Not Like He Can Just Mail Them A Beat.  Plus, Look At How He Changed The Beat And Made It Stop And Break Down And Stuff In "The Way I Be Pimpin'", He Also Has To Tweak Each Beat To Fit The Vocals;  I Play Guitar, And Have Been In Music For Years, So I See The Little Stuff He Does For The MC's To Make Their Job Easier... For Instance:

Check Out "Bitches Ain't Shit" And Notice How The Bass Drops Out PERFECTLY When Snoop Does His "Groove Up The Block As We Move Up The Block, See My Girl's House, DRE! Pass The Glock!" Or Whatever... He's A Genius With Beats.  In This Instance, He Drops The Bass Out To Build Anticipation, And To Better Accentuate Snoop's Vicious, Dark Lyrics... Then The Bass Sneaks Back In Slowly When They Kick In The Door, It Almost Sounds Like A Movie Splash, To Build The Audience Up To The Payoff... And Then After Snoop Blows Her Off, The Bass Kicks Back In For The Chorus... It's Lil' Stuff Like That That Musicians Notice, And That's Why Musicians Will Tell You Straight Up That Dre Is A Genius.

"No Diggity" wasn't produced by Dre..."The Message" wasn't either, though...

"Let Me Blow Ya Mind" is completely original, it doesn't sound like "Xxplosive" or "The Message".  But, i gotta say "Thatz What It Iz" does have the same basic piano lick as "The Watcher".  Anyone can figure that out.  I'm not saying thats bad AT ALL.  Both are good songs.

The Beginning Of The Message Starts With A Harpsichord, And A Harp.

The Beginning Of "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" Starts With A Wah Guitar...

I Don't Think They're Very Similar At All.

Not the begining of the song...The begining of the beat..The flow is the same in the begining of bothe songs...Take a listen to both songs one after another...It's the same with different insturments...
