Pac loved the song so much he asked Daz to put it on his album and he added his verse to it and took Rage and Deck off of it. Rage talks about the original track in the interview she did with Nima last year.
I've always wondered this about Redman's verse on All Eyez On Me. They say he's such a dope lyricist and everything but I what the hell was he talking about in his verse on All Eyez On Me. I didn't catch any of his metaphors, it all went totally over my head and maybe somebody can explain to me what is dope about it. His flow was ill, and it sounded good anyway because it was such a great song.. but it made no damn sense. Infact, nobody's lyrics were really that dope on the song. It sounds rushed, but 2pac had the midas touch at the time so it still worked somehow.First Daz spits a lazy rhyme and ends it with..."for me to put down my guard, I'm faced with it, I'm a ridebreakin in gas with the six-eight all dayIn and out with my payI'm soon to count the bodies..."...first of all, it doesn't rhyme, and second of all, what does "soon to count the bodies mean". So he's gonna come back and count the bodies he killed after a robbery? I don't get it.2pac spits a nice verse, his metaphor about "put that ass in the dirt, you'd swear the bitch was planted".. and his reference to Janet Jackson was touching.. but then he finishes by just biting Rakim, which is okay, we will call it a compliment, or a tribute to Rakim, no big deal."Yo, two years ago, a friend of mineTold me Alize and Cristal blows your mindBear witness to the dopest fuckin rhyme I wroteTakin off my coat, clearing my throat"I guess Kurupts verse was pretty dope, but I did always wonder.. who the hell is Jason Vorhees?
........................................................Someone recently located Inspectah Deck's "Got My Mind Made Up" verse. Out of nowhere this surfaced. The story behind this track is that 2Pac took the track from Tha Dogg Pound, which originally also had Lady Of Rage on it. He liked it, recorded his own verse. Only it was a bit too long so he cut both Inspectah & Rage off.2PAC ft.
