Kokane (now known as Mr. Kane) releasing album....
« on: April 04, 2001, 08:51:51 PM »
Acording to mtv.com Kokane who was featured on the last meal will be known as Mr. Kane. I personally liked Kokane better. Sounds nice. He is working with a variety of artist.

Here is the article:
The album, which will be released by Snoop's Dogghouse Records through Dre's Aftermath Entertainment, will feature appearances from the legendary twosome as well as D'Angelo, Macy Gray, Mystikal and the Goodie Mob's Cee-Lo.

In addition to Kane himself, Cee-Lo, Dre and Swizz Beatz are all slated to produce tracks, at least one of which will feature Kane's 13-piece band, Toejam.

Kane, who's in New York working with Jadakiss, hasn't limited his studio time to just his album. The singer has completed seven tracks for Tha Eastsidaz' second LP and five tracks for Mobb Deep. He has also begun working with Dre on the superproducer's next album and will be sharing time in the vocal booth with Jay-Z soon.

"It's beautiful," Kane said of his East-West collaborations. "All the haters are in jail. I'm out here just letting my hair down. All the Berlin Walls have been knocked down."

Kane, who was featured on nine of Snoop Dogg's Tha Last Meal cuts, also hopes to release an album with fellow Snoop Dogg affiliate Suga Free and newcomer Pimpin Young as part of the group Sky.

"We're bringing back that old '70s soul-funk and flipping it," he said.

His last album was called "They Call Me Mr. Kane" so he has already been calling himself that.

No matter what y'all say Kokane is hella tight. If it weren't true then why is everyone using him in their albums?

I hope the "Rap singers" blow the fuck up since I like both R&B and Rap. I would love to see albums by TQ, Butch Cassidy, Kokane and Nate Dogg. And then hopefully that Snoopadelic thing will work out.

Yeah, I Totally Agree... The Best Songs Are When They Mix R&B And Rap, For Instance, Mary J Blige & Method Man Did That Tight Song... Eve & Snoop Did "Ready To Ride", Anything Warren G's Ever Made (LOL), "The Message" By Dr. Dre, All Those Are Nice... I Mean, We Gots To Have Some Songs We Can Play In Mixed Company... LOL

Some songs that mix rock and rap are tight too. I love Fuck Dying by Ice Cube and Korn.

Damn, While I'm At It, The Rock Remix Of "All About The Benjamins" Was Nice Too... LOL.
