the reason why i think snoop is supercool and relevant..

1) he allways uses different kind of producers . Famous producers like dr dre, the neptunes, battlecat, teddy riley , dj quik . But he also uses up and coming producers underground producers. like terrance martin, Frequency, scoop deville, shawty redd( undeground producer, well known snowman producer), rick rock (underground producer, THX, soopafly,( famous but were would he be without snoop?) khao...   with that mixing he stays both between the underground and the mainstream

2) alot of count Jay z as snoops eastcoast counterpart, but in my opinion its totally different, jay is 100 % mainstream . he is using the same producers like just blace, the neptunes, kayne west..i admit jay z used less wellknown producers before. automaticaly jay sells more.

3) he always try different ways, different styles . Some people like it , some people hate it . I think its a gift

4) sometimes he have bad single selections, sentual seduction good single but . But ruined his album sales , fans thought he vent softcore and thought rest album was like single .

5) what i dislike is he sometimes is to much of a huggy bear and some songs can get to corny

I like Snoop because he keeps comin out with records even at age 36.  What I  dislike is that his flow isnt what it was and his albums run too long and are inconsistent.

i get what your saying, but from a south perspective he's a major name, trust me..he's also done some stuff with gucci mane (who for some reason gets so much love down south) and 8ball & mjg..

Snoop has been one of the biggest names in music for over 15 years. I really do not know alot of up and coming artists that we will be able to say this about in another 15. He has been through alot in his career. Longevity. I may not agree with some of his musical decisions at times but he has more than paid his dues in the industry to do whatever the fuck he wants and not alot of artists have that luxury.

And really only other than Lil Wayne and he just started doing guest appearances HEAVY in the past couple years, Snoop has made himself the most accessible artist to collabo with. He has so many guest appearances I cannot even remember all of them. He really helped bridge the gap with alot of east coast, midwest, south, r&b, etc to work with him in appearing on so many albums.
