Ras Kass album update

Thursday, February 14, 2002


A lot of people have been mailing the site asking about Ras Kass' much delayed album "Van Gogh" and when will it drop. Well the latest news directly from Priority Records is that the recording of "Van Gogh" will be completed and mastered around April time. We have even better news too, Priority have reported that Ras has recorded joints with DJ Hi-Tek, Pharoahe Monch and the legendary DJ Premier. Last year, Prioroty reported that Ras was also recording tracks with Timbaland, Scott Storch and Dr. Dre, so it's looking like some big spending has gone into the new look album. Expect the album to drop in the Summer.

Priority also mentioned that Ras has recorded a track with Pharoahe Monch. Will 2002 finally be the year that Ras puts it all together? With a production line-up like that, there won’t be room for many more excuses. Look for Van Gogh to drop this summer (!).

damn i cant wait for this, and scott storch is doin tracks 2?!?!?! instead of timbaland, he should have some beats done by rockwilder instead, he comes tight on west coast cds

Yes indeed, but I'm pretty sure Rockwilder will be on there.
If "NBA" makes the cut, that is.
But Rockwilder is also booked for production along with DJ Premier, Dre, Storch, Timbo etc.

this August date was posted in April homie, van gogh is never comin out.... but ras kass does have an albuum comin soon called "Goldyn Chyld".. theres a sampler for it and on the back of it is says

Rest In Peace 1999-2000
Van Gogh of priority records, age 3,
died Tuesday January 1st, 2002, of complications
from bootlegging, label drama, and corporate bullshit.
