J Wells statement regarding Bishop Lamont conflict!!

I didn't speak out after the last interview that Bishop Lamont did
regarding the diss record and the beef between us. Merely because I was
trying to put an end to the negativity that this whole thing brought
about.  But I felt it nessecary to clear up the whole situation so
people know my side of the story.

       First of all I released the Bishop Lamont diss record out of anger
for a disloyal, disrespectful friend. If you don't know I was invloved
with Bishops career early on before Dre and Aftermath. Back then
everybody was grinding. I used to sit in the studio with Bishop and we
would talk about coming up. I was already doing records, I actually
started working with him as a favor to Double R, and Jag bomb. I think
this may have been like 2004 or so. I had done records with Kurupt, Tha
Liks, Goodie Mob, Ne-Yo, I had toured with snoop, I had the big
Publishing deal with sony and the studio. So I was moreless one of the
go to guys on the west coast but still young and up and coming and
accessible. So we started out and I became dedicated to his project
going as far as cutting the check to get the big studio for Battlecat to
mix the single we release "Its Bishop".  I took Bishop to Tha Liks
and
they put him on the firewater album. They had never heard of dude. So
anyway we grinding I'm selling cds out my trunk he's pushing his
mixtape
we going to the radio working the single at "The Beat" &
"Power 106",
grinding, working, team effort, both trying to come up. Me and Bishop
was homies, going to the gym together, he'd come to my crib in hawthorne
and get beats and shit. We used to be in the paint hard grinding in the
streets.

         See I'm not saying it was all me. Bishop was a hustler and I saw
that. I give Bishop credit for that he was on his shit going to
interscope everyday hustlin. That's why I fucked with him. But I did my
part to help him come up. I had money to invest. Battlecat saw that, he
saw me cutting checks and shit.

     Eventually, Dre gets attention to Bishop. After Bishop signed with
Dre he completely changed to another person. He stopped doing records
with me and stop keeping contact. So I was like fuck it. I kept it
moving. I kept getting money. I wasn't tripping but you know when I'd
see big niggas dissing him I would laugh about it and it got back to him
a few times. I continued to make records and do what I do best. Produce.
I bought a huge house in ATL and kept doing shit. I Signed my deal with
Fontana. Then I shot my video and he comes to the shoot and acts like we
all buddy buddy with me like its all good and I'm like ok cool maybe
he's coming back down to earth. Then I get word the dude was talking
shit about me the whole time at the video. That's when I remembered how
he wouldn't get in a shot that I had set up with me, him, and Glasses. 
Instead of Bishop getting in the shot with me and Glasees.  He's in the
back ground talking shit to folks. Thinking I wouldn't know. But the
streets talk you feel me?

      So once I got word and put it all together. I got hot and wanted to
diss him then but everybody calmed me down. My management, kurupt,
everybody calmed me down. But the anger just built up cause you know I'm
thinking all the money I spent on this nigga project and he still aint
look back and he got the nerve to be talking shit. So I did the diss
record which was leaked out and once it got leaked...yup I ran with it.
That's why it seemed to come from no where. Cause I held it back. I had
to get shit off my chest. I had no record to promote by then "Digital
Smoke" had been out for months. It was all built up anger u know.

       All of a sudden all my big homies got invloved on  a street level
and I'm trying to be smart about the situation and not see anyone get
killed over some bullshit. So when I came to LA I handled my business. I
called the nigga he wanted to talk to everybody else instead of me. I
told him lets fight on our  terms if that's what you want but keep all
the hood niggas out of it. I'm like, "make a record nigga' I made
a diss
record, diss me back. He thinks he's to good to come back at me. He says
I'm not on his radar. That's funny. I have produced stars way bigger
than him and he got this attitude like he sold a trillion records. I
haven't heard no hits from this dude and he's with Dr. Dre. The biggest

producer in Hip Hop. He should have blown up already. What's stoppong
him? Eminem, Snoop, 50 cent, they all made hits with Dre. I don't
know?   His interview was really funny to me. You would of thought he
sold 10 million records.  But  Any way so while all of this shit is
going on with a bunch of niggas trying to set up this arranged fight.
I'm riding around LA with my niggas selling "Digital Master"

the trunk. in his hood all through carson, compton, hawthorne, gardena,
selling my shit out the trunk u know.

     I'm literally sitting in my Lexus hustling Cds with my homie Flixx in
like Hawain Gardens or something and my homie Jag called me and told me
that Bishop Grand mother passes away. Right then I was done with it. See
I lost my Grandmoter when I was young and she was like my Mom.  So I
felt for dude. I don't hate this dude.  I know this guy from Carson. The
real Phillip Martin.  I know his Mother. He know my family. I don't
wanna see nothing bad happen to him.  It was like a sign to me. And then
He text me and told me "I forgive you and I wish peace on your soul".
He
asked me to dead the record. I was like yo man. I will dead this record
publicly. The whole thing was negative. Nobody wanted to see anyone from
the West Coast on some negative shit anyway. All the big homies came
down on me for that shit. It was regressive. So me and him both decided
to squash it and I went and deaded the record I even stopped
Allhiphop.com from doing a feature.

      So then after all that and the smoke clears  he comes out with his
little fake interview. Like I was scared to fight him or whatever. Nigga
please. So I didn't say nothing. Kurupt called me and told me to chill.
He told me, negative shit and dissing niggas get you know where. He told
me when he dissed all those cats back in the day that it didn't do
anything but cause negativity, grief, and stress. So I decided not to
respond. I knew what Bishop was saying was lies anyway. I figured he
made all that up for the sake of his ego and image.

      I don't need to pull publicity stunts. I get 40 to 50gs a track. I
live a great life. I produce on platinum albums and I scored many TV
commercials which many probrably don't realize. So I don't need
desperatly to get my record to sale. I put out indy records because its
what I love to do. I'm a Producer. I don't have to rap a day again in
my
life. I love hip hop. And when I grew up Niggas got dissed. So I saw it
as a part of the Game you feel me? I dissed him to get a lot of shit off
my chest. You feel me?

    So I read the his interview. I was angry but then I calmed down and
listen to my counsil. I chilled and I learned from my mistakes and I
learned that others may hate you but those that hate you don't win
unless you hate them. So I was done with it. Then I get all these street
reports. Cause I'm still heavy in the streets out the trunk. I still got
niggas selling my shit out the trunk in compton, carson, Watts,
Inglewood, hawthorne so I get the street reports. And a couple of my
homies was at urban network and this dude was talking sideways again. So
at that point I had had it again with this lil boy. So I called him, he
aint pick up, I text him I called the homie Jag Bomb and told him to get
dude on the phone. He told Jag to tell me that "he don't wanna get on
the phone, he don't wanna fight and he don't have no problem with me
and
that he never said nothing about me and that he wants to squash it". 
What kinda dude is this nigga?

   It reflects back to my whole point in the record you got real niggas
and fake niggas. I  came up with some heavy cats. J.Ro, Tash, E-Swift,
Daz Kurupt, Snoop, these guys have always showed me Love and respect
that's why I give it up so much. Its funny how a new dude comes to the
game and acts funny.  Its like when J.Ro dissed Xzibit.

     In the end its like this. If he wanna fight we can fight, I'm in the
streets everyday in his hood. I've had the same number for 7 years. I
aint hard to find. But I don't see what fighting is gonna prove. He
needs to just be a real nigga. I wish him success over there with Dre. I
hope he makes a hit. I'm no hater. I helped this dude out so its a
compliment to see someone I helped become successful. I'm done with the
negativity, I said what I had to say in the record. Maybe one day we can
get together and put the bullshit beside and make some classics cause we
both young and talented but you know how this industry shit will turn ya
friends against you.

As far as I knew Bishop was a cool dude. I spoke on him often cuz my nigga from Carson and I'm from Gardena we like neihbors, his flow is sick no doubt and  ain't nothin popped out there since the homies from the Boo Ya Tribe. I used to see him and Wells put it down 2gether all the time. Wells was really impressed by him and wanted to continue working with him. When I heard "It's Bishop" I was like yeah that's the shit. So the huge dubcnn fan I am when I hear Dr. Dre givin it up for him on Big Boy's show on Power 106 I felt like one of us had done something big. I was excited for him. When I see Bishop in the street he always show me love, he know J Wells like family to me, so when all this shit like niggas not being on his radar and him wanting to catch a fade wit Wells came about I was like nall that don't sound like Bishop to me. But 4 those that know me on the street already know how I get down. Wells is my nigga, I been co-signin on these streets 4 years when it comes to the homie. So I'm like whatever you want do I'm wit it, but I don't see Bishop as no enemy, I got enemies, I can't see this crackin yall will work it out I'm sure. When I saw Bishop's latest interview I'm thinking damn he really trying to pull my nigga ho card. Don't get it twisted, Wells ain't got to run from nobody he got soldiers all day, that's how we do it. Ain't nobody changin no dam schedules 4 nobody. But I really hope things do work out 4 the better..If not whatever is whaterver.

peace to j wells, it seems like he took the high road and isnt getting caught up in he hype, which is a hard thing to do out here.....i been fuckin wit j wells since i copped the j wells presents: the wolfpac mixtape vol. 1 a couple years back at backside records....i always thought he was from the 818 the way he repped it and showed luv, and also cuz my homie met him out here and said he was cool as fuck, even gave him a copy oif the mixtape for free, even tho it had no cover....i hope him and bishop are able to work together again at sum point, but fuck it, i think styliztik jones is better than bishop anyway, i still bump 'chuuuuurch' all the time
