Bird claims that the fact Kobe has no MVPs by now makes him want to throw his MVP trophies away. he also said he'd trade an NBA title for an NCAA title, which he's never won. Insisted that the best player he's ever played with was Dennis Johnson...all this morning on Dan Patrick. interesting shit.

This is interesting. I have a long list of quotes from NBA players (past and present) speaking on Kobe and I found it interesting that Bird was the only one I couldn't find a quote from.

well...considering that he has a few NBA titles, I can see him wanting to trade one of those for an NCAA. It's the one that got away...

It's probably gunna be announced at the next Laker home game...they usually announce it towards the end of the first round, but the Lakers swept, so they never got a chance.
