China formally opened what it says is the world's longest sea-crossing structure Thursday, a 36-kilometer (22-mile) bridge spanning a bay just south of the eastern business hub of Shanghai

The majority of china's population are under the poverty line. so instead of using the billions they spent on this to help the poor they build an ugly structure that probably isn't needed. what a joke

i read some where it makes the way from shanghai to ??? 120 km shorter.

That is 1 long fuckin bridge. The way it goes off into the distance is breathtaking.
