Josh Howard and Marcus Camby on the trading block
« on: May 02, 2008, 01:23:39 PM »
i know the postseason isn't even close to done yet, but we all know how much this board loves trade speculation  :P

The Dallas Morning News -
There is growing speculation that the Mavericks could decide to rid themselves of Josh Howard through a trade this summer, according to the Dallas Morning News.

His value may have diminished over the last few months because of his struggles during the playoffs and his recent admission that he smokes marijuana during the offseason, but he's still considered a high-level talent.

"There's always ways to keep the window open, or open the window back up," Dirk Nowitzki said of the Mavericks pending offseason changes. "We all know trades are part of this business. There's always possibilities out there. We'll see what happens this offseason."

Rocky Mountain News -
A source said Marcus Camby is the big salaried player on Denver that the club would be most likely to trade this offseason.

"It's not as easy as it used to be to make a deal," Nuggets executive Rex Chapman said of the Nuggets' situation.

josh howard is garbage, and they should trade him if they don't plan on rebuilding.

i feel bad for camby though as he's always been one of the only two nuggets who actually plays defense. then again, i somehow doubt he even wants to be in denver anymore. i actually doubt ANY of the nuggets want to be in denver anymore. i expect them to either blow up the entire team by either this offseason or next offseason after they get knocked out of the first round yet again.

I'd love to see Camby in Dallas..  Camby >>> Dampier

As for Howard... it would be hard to get somebody who kicks ass for him, considering what terrible stuff as happened recently. He's still a 20/7 guy, but people have forgotten that.

No, it's not a sin

I advise you to post there, and only there. I have just illustrated what a major upgrade that would be for the Mavs, nothing else. Go suck on JO's cock.

How would you feel with an Odom-for-Howard trade? I'd personally hate it, but some Laker fans on the Lakersground forums were discussing the possibility.

I like Josh Howard but after the shiet he pulled this post season - I'd advise teams to stay away from him.

that would be stupid imo...you guys should keep the odom, gasol, and kobe thing and build around them.  rebounding, and interrior defense would hurt if odom was traded for jh. plus odom at his size can handle the ball like a sg.

Odom came into the league as a PG and has run the point on many occasions.
