Lupé Fiasco. Gimme advice.
« on: May 06, 2008, 12:26:30 PM »
He actually worth listening to? In the long run i've been sleeping on him and stuff.

But in the long run i did enjoy the song 'Kick, Push' to the point of being tired of it (You know, when you play the same track repeatdly over and over again till you start to get tired of it).

Just a sec ago....I overheard that Paris Tokyo hit on MTV Base, i like this lazy kickback style of a beat with the rhymes. That's what i look for in music (Some Nas tracks, Common, Talib Kweli sometimes, etc etc) What can you tell me about him? His two albums actually worth buying??

Which do you prefer.....Food & Liquor or The Cool by the way??

Help is definatly appreciated  :)

Lupe Fiasco is one of the best "newcomers" in hip hop. His first album could have been a classic, if he kept some tracks of the advance version. The Cool is also a very good album.

The Cool is a fantastic album and from my point of view, easily one of the standout albums from last year, I haven't heard the advance of food and liquor but judging by the retail version, The Cool is a step up.

Damnn i must have been blind these last past couple of months, there's alot of luv for Lupe on the Dubcc forums lol. I guess first thing first i'll check out The Cool first then, a majority of this thread has called that album better after all

Sounds kinda ironic how the advance of Food & Liquor turned out better than the actual retail huh?  :-\ Lol i'm not sleeping on Lupe no more.

imo the Cool is garbage. theres a couple cool tracks but its too... indie rock or something to me

Food & Liquor was solid, though. The only problem with it is his breath control was alot worse (you can hear him gasping inbetween lines really loudly)
