Italy suffered a scare in their first training session at their base in Modling, Austria on Monday when captain Fabio Cannavaro suffered an injury to his left ankle which required immediate attention in hospital.Chiellini tackleThe 34-year-old Real Madrid CF centre-back, capped 116 times by the Azzurri, sustained the knock following a tackle by fellow defender Giorgio Chiellini and was carried off the field on a stretcher. Italy doctor Paolo Zeppilli said: "We have to do tests but it does not look like a minor injury. It takes at least 12 hours to understand the full extent of an injury like this. The first thing we need to assess is if there is any damage to the bones."
