True, but then, even more than that the Greek deserve to get their muhfuckin asses kicked. They already had the most undeserved tournament victory in the history of soccer four years ago and watching them makes you wanna turn off your TV and do something fun like washing dishes, only they've already got you comatose by the 10th minute. Rehhagel is the worst thing that happened to European football in the last 20 years, his system and tactics would have been outdated when he was given birth to, plus he's a racist fucker, general asshole and thinks he's the shit. And if that 10-man-defense-and-a-goalkeeper shit works out again (I still believe it was kind of a fluke), then soccer has a problem. Good to see it doesn't look like it.

That nigga Rehhagel once said that you just need 11 athletes (not necessarily real soccer players even) who are very disciplined in playing a tight and organized defense, and every team has a hard time to score. And Euro 2004 proved him right. I agree, it would be terrible if this system continues to be successful, it could ruin the sport forever lol.

Yeah...you might know that one [ quote ]: "Modern ist, wenn man gewinnt", which has been his answer to any kind of fucking criticism regarding his antediluvian system. And the great thing about this evening is that his team just lost to a totally average opponent and that should stuff his goddamn mouth when someone inquires about stone-age football this time. Because if you lose playing like that, you look a lot dumber than if you lose like, say, the Russians did today. So let's be optimistic

...and by the way, it did work in '04 but there was a lot of luck involved. I do see how this way of playing can help a team suffering from a lack of talented players (like the Greeks), but I still don't believe that it would be such a good idea for Portugal, Germany, Holland or Spain. The fact that the Greeks won games against superior teams instead of narrowly losing back in '04, is, I'll insist, partly due to a great deal of very good luck

I didnt think the game was THAT bad to be honest. When Sweden had posession you just felt that somethin was gonna happen, that goal from Zlatan was quality and Larsson still oozes class. And that third goal was hillarious.
