Simple--1) his production skills are top notch, he's staying true to the westcoast, 2) his laid back rhyme style is so smooth, but he can also rap energetic when he feels inclined to do so, 3) his lyrical content, when so many rappers these days are scared to step to a bitch and call them out and let them know that they aren't shit, Soopafly will expose the heffers for the trash that they are.  And when so many rappers are turning away from the 'gangsta' type raps, talking about guns and killing and stuff, Soopafly will still rap about that kind of stuff when need be 4) He doesn't dilute his catalog.  All these rappers jump on everyone's songs, no matter how bad they are, they do all the mixtapes and myspace songs, etc, Soopafly stays away from all that garbage and just releases consistantly good music and doesn't flood the market with his stuff, the consistancy of his catalog is 2nd to none 5) He's worked with 2Pac and Dr. Dre and both have given The Man their stamps of approval, not only that, but he's worked with nearly every top Westcoast artist from the mid-late 90's (when westcoast rap was at it's strongest)....all those reasons and more has made me respect The Man greatly, and made me a lifelong fan.
