In general what has a bigger fanbase/views? Football or Basketball?

I'm thinking the world cup overall gets more views and has their country that's participating gaining more views.

No disrespect to basketball, just in the end of the day that's what i think.

It's football.  The 2008 Champions League Final reached around 16 million viewers in the UK and U.S.A. alone.  And the U.S. had the game slot at 1130am Pacific time.
