NFL heads wasssuggs?

I remember bill walsh saying that he only needed a "decent" QB to make his system and that any QB with a decent arm could succeed in his system with the right pieces in place (good offensive line and WR's to run the rythim routes). Also that a great left tackle was just as important as a QB at times (lawrence tayler proved that)

In college football all you hear is if the QB is a "System" QB or not...like Tim Tebow :D

So comes down to the question....is the QB that makes the team great...or the System the QB runs?

The system.....EASILY. Every once in a while we're lucky enough to witness a great quartback IN a great system. We've seen quartbacks like Trent Dilfer win a Superbowl who are far below great....probably below average lol. But how many times have you seen a great quarterback win in an average....or below average system (Marino)?

the system certainly helps a lot more than most think, but the QB itself (obviously) has most to do with it.

it has more to do with the talent that a qb has around him more then the system..

eh...maybe. The Raiders have had some years during the 90's where they had more talent then anyone in the league...and still couldnt win a Superbowl. The Chargers right now have more talent then almost anyone in the league....and they wont win a Superbowl. I think youre right in a way....you need the talent for sure. But I think the system AND the talent around them have more to do with winning...then the QB all by himself.

yeah but the Raiders didnt have a good enuff Qb, so thats not even a relevant argument...and in the late 90's they ran into the best 2 defeneses in recent memory, Ravens and Bucs when they had the QB  in Gannon,  or they would have won it all..
Even The Giants had plenty of talent..Talent doesn'y always equal wins, but u DO need tons of talent to ta win it all BOTTOM LINE

so Brady is a better QB then Marino?

50 td's and 5 ints in 1 year, and 3 SB rings. I think u can say that..But u can go either way..

and in his 3 sb wins the best WR he had was Branch and Troy Brown..How many qb's have led there teams to SB's with Wr's like that? Besides Dilfer cuz of that amazing d..

SB victories can be thrown out of an argument when talking about who is a better player. We're not arguing who was a better team. This isnt Boxing.

No it cant, that has a lot to do with it. When u throw 4 ints in a game and u cant lead ur team to score in a big Championship game, that should be part of the argument. Are u fuckin Kidding me? It shouldnt be the determining factor, but NO WAY IN HELL Should it be thrown out...Like when people say Peyton is more talented then Brady, I dont see how u can prove that...
