All I heard is that before 'Pac recorded Hit Em Up with the Outlawz he was in talks with some of the biggest rapers from the west to join him on the song but everyone refused so he ended up put it with the Outlawz... now, since Cube & Westside Connection were dissing the hell outta East at that time I think it would be natural for 'Pac tryin to hook-up with Cube for the diss... I heard that he also was trying get Snoop, Dre, Too Short, Luniz and E-40 for the song but the whole story could be fake tho...

yeah there is a version with cube doing the intro going at biggie and 'em. that was in 98 or 99, i remember streaming the link in real player, it must have been from hitemup.com or some other site. so there must be some other people out there that still have it. i changed computers like 4 times during that period and unfortunately hit em up didnt make it here lol

  Not at the time. I believe when Hit Em Up came out, Dre and Pac were still cool. Shortly after, Dre left the label.
