Alright Illuminati 2G is here with producer Disko. How's it going?

It's going good. Blessed.

Tell me about how you got your start producing in the game and some of your musical influences in the game

I started producing like listening to alot of music. Then I got a microphone and a tape, and I started rapping first. And then I started making beats because I could not buy no beats and no one would sell me no beats and nobody made beats. So I started making them myself. And that is how I got started. My influences is DJ Quik. That is my favorite producer.

Tell me about the track you produced I'm Toe Up that's really burning the airwaves right now that you did with Problem. That was actually the track that got Problem signed to Universal right?

Yeah. Well I made that track in my living room. I did not think it was special. I make beats like that all the time. He called me one day, I had sent him a bunch of tracks and he called me and said he got one. I just kept making beats for everyone else. He recorded the song to it and it got out to the radio. I did not know how big it was, and then they started playing it all the time. I did not know it was going to blow up like that.

What are some other projects out there that people would recognize your production or may not know about that you have produced for?

I did Keno's 1st song on KDAY/Power 106. They played it on the radio for about 4 months. I did some stuff with Roscoe Umali. I did some stuff with Spider Loc. I did some stuff with Mitchy Slick. I did some stuff for C-Bo, Spice 1. Did a bunch with Problem. This guy named K-Active from Inglewood. 211 from CTE. He is down with Jeezy and them. The list goes on and on. I make beats for a living.

Tell me about your new album, Turnt Up, that you put on your myspace page for free download.

Well Turnt Up is a single that I had made first, and then I wanted to make a whole album. I am actually in the process of getting it (Turnt Up single) played on Power 106 right now. Shoutout to DJ Enrie. I don't make mixtapes or street albums. I make albums. It makes more sense for me to put the best music out there. Instead of putting some verses over some beats and calling it a street album or a mixtape. Ya know what I'm saying?

Yeah I feel you. Yeah that shit is bangin man. I really liked that track Next Episode with Eastwood and 211 on it. Tell me about some of the highlights that you feel are on the album, some tracks people should check out for?

Turnt Up definitely. That is going to be in Vegas in a little while. Add Water 2. Next Episode with Eastwood and 211. We Do This All The Time, the one with Spider Loc and 211. I got one with G-Luv (You Better Ask Somebody). I don't know if many people remember him, he was in the Road Dawgs and did some stuff with Mack 10 back in the day. Pretty much that is it. I got Young Hootie from Compton. Problem. Everyone is liking the album is what I am hearing. I'm just doing my thing.

What is your favorite track that you produced for a artist that is currently out right now? Or any track.

Toe Up. Because it got me my royalties with Universal (laughs). That is my favorite track.

Did you have any say on the remix, or did you help out with the production on the remix?

Nah Terrace Martin did the remix on that. I would have loved to have that track. I talked to Problem the other day and I told him I would like to do another remix to it. So keep ya ears open for that. I will definitely make it crazy. CRAZY!

What are some future projects that you are working on with people in the industry that people can look forward to with your production?

Well right now I am working on getting a publishing deal. Because I produce with minimum equipment. If I get a publishing deal, I can build up my equipment. If I am doing tracks now that get played on the radio now, imagine if I had some real money as far as having a studio. So I am working on that, trying to get placement with some major, major artists. I'm reaching out to Young Buck, Missy. I just 11 tracks for Missy that I just gave to her manager. So I am about to be on her album.

Oh Ok!!

Basically the major artists I'm trying to get out from the underground and get to the major artists to get tracks out there on the radio.

Do you have any advice that you can give to a up and coming producer trying to come up in the game?

Yeah. Focus on frequencies, focus on the scientific shit of the music industry. Not just I got to get a MPC and I am going to start making beats. Take it more seriously. Get into mixing and get into going to a big studio and getting your shit to sound good. Because dudes is making beats at they house and taking it straight to the streets is killing the music.

How can any artist signed or unsigned get in contact with you if they want to link up with you?

They can hit me on the myspace. http://www.myspace.com/diskoboogie2006 . Or they can call me at 310-710-7107. My phone is always on. They can call me on my phone. (laughs)

What's your thoughts on the state of west coast hip hop right now and who are some of the upcoming artists that you are feeling that is out at the moment?

Game. Game got that song with Keyshia Cole. I love that song. Everyday T-Pain. I am about to get T-Pain on something. Mob Doctor. I'm still feeling Snoop even though he ain't the same as he used to be. Glasses Malone, Jay Rock, alot of underground dudes. I ain't into alot of that radio stuff.

Yeah you got pretty much everyone from the New West on your album. So that is the soundtrack to the streets.

Hell Yeah. It got downloaded because I went on my link because it has a ticker to see who downloaded, and it downloaded 250 times today, so that's cool. It's free so that's cool

Definitely. That's all the questions I have for you. Thanks for the time. Are there any last words or shoutouts that you want to give to the fans or anything that you want to get off your chest right now?

New West, the original New West, Inglewood, you know what it do. Ya dig? Shout out to you for putting this out there.

Appreciate the time.
