Ice cube - Laugh now cry later ( 2 years later)
« on: July 29, 2008, 12:02:25 AM »
Ive been bumping this record for a few days now. Ya i know its 2 years old but i wanted to start this thread because i wasent a big fan of this record when it came out.

But now im starting to dig a lot of songs on it even the lil jon ones. Go to church is fucking hard!!!

I was looking foward to the new one more or less. I think its on now tho, dude will deliver something good. Maybe not epic like he used to but something with some thought and awareness. Thats when hes at his bestimo. When hes doing shit like " doing what it pose to do" and "crome and paint" thats where he falls off.

yeah child support realy grew on me as well, the beat is hard the lyrics are dope and his flow sounds angry , meaningfull and with a purpose.

I hope his records has more songs like this and less about paint and bitches.

It's a personnal classic. It's simple, I love all songs. And it's the only album released in 2006 wich I loved like that.

I'm probably the only one who isn't a big fan of this album. It has nice individual songs, but there are also songs on it that I don't like... and IMO it doesn't have an album feel to it, but what do you expect if you work with 15 different producers.

good album but Cube should've left out 4 or 5 songs. You gotta lotta that  Holla @ cha boy  and The Game Lord are terrible. On the other hand there are sure some bangers.

I hate those Lil Jon produced crapboxes. What the fuck was Cube even thinking?

I loved the album when it dropped then didnt listen to it for a while and recently rediscovered it, the album is dope as hell. Go To Church is one of my fav records on there, when you see Cube and Dub performing it live it blows you away. Beat is knocking.

I also heard most of Raw Footage the other day and it sounded nice, unfortunately I heard it on laptop speakers but I could tell that the beats would bang in a system. The song with Musiq Soulchild stood out to me, the song with jeezy wasnt bad, southern production, hook went somethin like "Got my locs on" cant remember the rest. The tracks that Hallway Productions did were the dopest to me.
