The album is dope, but it has some questionable tracks. Not as westcoast as the documentary, so on that fact alone i cant say its best work. Maybe his most complete project. Its only 3 or 4 tracks that im having trouble liking. Mainly that Luda track, the track with nas is nothing special, LAX files is dope, but im not feeling dudes voice on the hook.  And i still dont love that track with wayne. It just doesnt sound like a game record to me.

Other than that the cd is dope. Im pleased but not as excited about it as i thought i was going to be. Those of you expecting a westcoast record will be let down. Bigtime.

I actually meant to say not as westcoast as Doctors Advocate. Your right the Doc wasnt that westcoast at all. It just had dre beats which made up for it. I think DA was his best album and still is. I didnt say nothing bad about the album calm the fucc down hommie. I said it was only 3 or 4 tracks i wasnt feeling from jump street. Thats still a good ass album. But there are few standout classic tracks on this one as opposed to his other two records.

Westcoast is a sound beleive it or not. And Westcoast rappers should stick to that sound. When they dont, bad things happen. Not to say it doesnt produce good music, because at times it does but you do have to cater to your audience because they are the only ones buying your shiit.

Because you expect him to have Quik, Battlecat as a producers and rappin about Chronic, all the cars in the world etc. This aint the 90s no more Game has a huge fanbase, they dont wanna hear that shit.

DA was lyrically his worst fuckin album and thats because he used the Westcoast sound.

Dont pigeonhole the rappers and be open.

When Bishop Lamont drops what are you gonna say? He doesnt sound Westcoast either because he doesnt talk about the regular shit and the beats he raps on aint the usual westcoast sound

Cuz hes a little different from the rest. Most of the cats on the west sound exactly the same and thats real shit but now the new generation you starting to hear a difference and thats because Game was the one
who tried a different style (westcoast swag, sometimes westcoast subject matter with an eastcoast flow)

This is games most complete record. Possibly his best CD. I dont give a damn what sound he used. I was telling people that were expecting a Westcoast Album, named LAX, not to expect a Westcoast album because if they do, they are going to be severly dissapointed, because this is not that. The cd is better than most, a top 5 release this year. Im not hating on the game. He is one of my favorite artist. But im not a dickridder either. I call that shiit like i see it. This may be his best shiit musically, but its not my personal favorite. As for the producer who mentioned quik or battlecat. I could give a fucc who produced it, as long as it sounds good.

And if i was Bishop, i would for damn sure make sure my CD sounded like something from the westcoast. Because you cant alienate a fan base. Especially when it is all that you have. Obviously with dre involved, you get a pass, just like game did on his first. Dre's sound although more eastcoast still has westcoast feel and mass appeal. It can make up for the fact that its not. "Grow Up" lets me know that Bishop is smart enough to know that too.

You are on DUBCC a westcoast message board. The fucc you think we here for? West Coast gang bang gangsta shiit. That is the foundation, that is the standard. Thats what i want. Thats where im from. If it didnt exist we wouldnt be having this conversation and the game would be working walmart. Truthfully, game is all we got on the westcoast right now, so when the biggest act on the westcoast comes out with a CD that doesnt cater to his biggest fan base, with a CD entitled LAX, which people might get misconstrued, i was simply warning cats what not to expect. Doesnt mean that its not good music, because it is.
