are you kidding me? game is just supposed to be some puppet that dre controls? give me a break -- the game is way bigger than dre if anything.  dre is a forgotten producer who hip hop has passed up.  him and suge ran the 1990's with death row and a slew of other great producers like johnny j and daz, no doubt.  but the fans of today don't care nor are they waiting for this album.  only hardcore fans on forums and westcoast fans.  do you think the south is waiting for dre beats? LOL.  The Game is working with all these cats from the east to the south back to the west and they ain't waitin for no dre beats.  The Game has dropped 3 platinum plus albums since 2003 and Dre only has two solo albums.  DJ Khaled and Mannie Fresh and a slew of others are way bigger to modern hip hop then dre.  unless you have been living under a rock, you think dre is great in post 2003 hip hop.  yes, everybody "forgot about dre."

I agree 100% Look at how he did Mack 10 with that "Hate In Yo Eyes" single and Warren G with "Lookin' At You" -- both of these were 5 minute busts for production.  Look at that Jay-Z single he produced on "Kingdom Come" and that Snoop single he dropped on The Blue Carpet Treatment ("imagine").  The Knoc'Turnal songs he did were mostly garbage.  Truth Hurtz and Busta Rhymes was a bust.

I like some of Dre's work on his solo albums but his 1990's work was better overall even though he had some huge hits in early 2000 with eminem and 50 ("in da club").  but he always has ghost producers like mel man and rumors always swirl about other people assisting him like scott storch and in-house death row producers on "the chronic."  he's done some great works but Pac is 100% right he takes way too long to drop a beat.  look at the way the top producers put hits out left and right and dre just won't do that.  he needs to live about 300 years to do as many beats a a pharrell, lil jon, or scott storch.  dre is still trying to produce early 2000's style when the rap game has moved in a complete different direction and more toward hard southern, techno, and khaled/akon/t-pain hits.  if he's really the best, then create an album that would swing the mainstream back to the west like the g-funk era was running it in the 1990's after chronic dropped.

Is Game supposed to be a puppet? No. Is Game supposed to keep a promise to his boss/mentor if he makes it? Sounds fair to me. If you're on the team, you follow the chain of command. Talking about how Suge ran things. You think Suge had artists disobeying him? Fuck no. He'd slap artists up for using his phone. People don't care about Detox or Dre? What are you basing this on? It seems like anytime they interview anyone associated with Dre from 50 to Snoop to Game, the question of Detox comes up. You are right about one thing though.

I count one multi-platinum album since '05. I've seen no record of Doctor's Advocate getting platinum certified and LAX definetly hasn't gotten there yet. Are we gonna compare classic albums or record sales? If it's classics, Dre wins. If it's record sales, they both get beat by 50 Cent. And I don't hear nobody talking about Khaled and Mannie Fresh like they do about Dre so where is that talk coming from?
